# Hello Hive 

This topic presents such a table for argument that most people may not be able to draw a distinctive line as to either they prefer fiat over crypto or otherwise. 

Personally I am part of those group of people, although I prefer the decentralization and freedom that comes with crypto, there are some benefits to keeping fiat that we can never ignore.

# Benefits of having crypto over fiat.

* Crypto gives me the benefits of control over my assets. A decentralized system with wallet codes that is hidden and in my control 
No one can know my asset worth unless I spell them out, since I have values hidden in codes or hard wallets out of anyone's reach.

* No more unnecessary taxes. This is one of the benefits I enjoy. Thinking about how Nigeria cut taxes from peoples salaries only to be embezzled by the government is annoying. 
Taxes are meant for social and environmental development but if they cannot provide me these things after taking taxes of my money,  I would prefer not to pay tax in order to provide the things I need by myself. 
With crypto, you can earn daily and avoid paying tax except in crypto regulated countries where their government force exchanges operating in such countries to take tax of the crypto earnings of investors.

* Crypto has the tendency of increasing in value over time and assets saved in crypto also increases in worth but some fiat are pegged to a dollar and only rises a little above the dollar. 
Asset saved in Nigerian currency (naira) has lost it value over the years as the value of naira keeps falling against the dollar. 
The hardship been experienced by the country has been largely due to the fall in value of naira(fiat) and anyone who has saved their money in dollars have lost a large sum.

* Crypto is not centralized and it a source of wealth out of governments control, they have no say in the market value of this kind of money, or how this wealth can be multiplied or otherwise. 
But fiat is heavily controlled,  prices are controlled and hence the amount of money in circulation.

These are the numerous benefits of crypto and more still for us to talk about. 

Although crypto has its own  disadvantages and one of the major ones is that 

Crypto is easily hacked or stolen as internet fraud and cyber crime is on the rise, one can loss their asset through protocols and links that are malicious.

Crypto is not totally acceptable as a means payment in many countries, and you can't buy goods or services if all you have is in crypto format. 


In conclusion crypto is the best form of money you can own and I do prefer crypto over fiat but I  also keep some amount of fiat for daily transactions.
