Every tick tock from the clock means you either make more money or loss money. I have heard of a local adage that says that time is money and this is not far from the truth at all. 

In most countries, your wages and salaries are calculated based on the number of hours you have worked.
Meaning that if you work for an hour you are eligible to certain amount of money which increases as you increase your time of work. 

And even those collecting salaries understand this principle that they have to work for certain number of days before their salaries can be paid. 


These principle has not changes even when we come down to web3.
Every investment needs a certain amount of time for it to yield profit. 
You have to spend more time on the internet and social media, get the best experience of these DApps before you can make some money from the internet. 

Taking hive as an example some have failed at blogging not because they haven't created quality contents but because they have not taking time to engage with others. 
Yesterday I decided to read about 20post from different authors but after about 5post I realized I have spend an hour already. 
Thinking about how others read more than 50post daily tells me that they have invested so much of their time on the blockchain. 

As a social media app,a bulk of the investment you need here is your time, relating with others exposes one to a lot of ideas and activities that can earn you extra income. 



I have once heard that the rich do not sleep much and to build their wealth they use most of their night time to think of ideas and how to grow their businesses,  it is possible that they have disciplined themselves to sleep for only 4hrs in a day. 


With so much tast on CZ and our dear Khal I sometimes wonder if they rest,  sleep alot or have quality time off work. 
You can't be lazy and expect to live above the poverty line.

In 21st century,  investment is coming in varying forms now,  you can invest your time and not just your money. 
Just like play to earn,  actifits and others I guess we now need a "Spend time to earn" probably a timer that will reward people with tokens for spending time on the internet.

Time is money. Always have been. 
Working is the basic way of "investing time to earn money". 
Hive is great in the way that we get compensated for something we used to do for free on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn...
I just wonder if the time we spend to write quality content is worth what we earn in the end. Thankfully, we have a multiplication factor to the post rewards with the curation. I personally decided to use Hive as a show room for my technical skills recently. 
Posting my tech articles on LinkedIn, hoping it will help me to apply to my next job with something 'more' to show .
