Homework or no homework happens to be a debate among the teachers and the parents. I believe both of them have a point. Some believe that homework after school can be stressful, and some believe that additional homework for the students will make them have time to study more. 

Well, looking at both points, there are advantages and disadvantages. On the benefits side, some believe that giving homework at school will make the children not have time to do whatever they want to do at home. Some students have other stuff they do when they get home; some help their parents to sell goods in one way or the other, some run errands for their parents, while some go to work immediately after they are back from school.

 Presently I have a sister who goes to work immediately when she comes back from school. In cases like that, giving assignments will be stressful to the children. Imagine a student who came back from school. Let me use my younger sister as an example. She comes back from school every day around 3pm and goes to work almost immediately after she comes back from school. She only needs to eat and then go to work. We all know that we can't depend on education alone as a skill of survival, as education is now something entirely different, so to make things work well in the future, you have to learn a vocational work and still be educated. 

So when my sister comes back from work at night, she feels so tired already, and she will have to do some house chores.Remember, she's yet to even rest. House chores like sending her on errands and so on, and if Mom is cooking, you have to assist in one way or the other. In an African home, your parent can not be in the kitchen, and you will not be supporting them even if it is by talking to them.So this happens every day, and she doesn't get the time to herself.

 This is what most children face every day. No time to rest at all.However, I'm not saying this is what happened to every student, as some students do not do anything when they are back from school; some are so free that they play around.On the negative side too. Students can be un serious and the only thing that can make them serious is by giving them assignments.

 Especially when it's weekends. So many students gets to read when they were given assignments. Apart from that they will not even bother to read. Especially given students an assignment which they will defend in the class , they will have no other choice than to read it. 

And this goes a long way to make the students contribute their quota to the development of the school. Even during the exams, some students hardly read. Removing assignments from the school and students' curriculum will also make most of them lazy, as they know that if they do not do their assignments, they will face the consequences in school the following day.
