La computadora es una herramienta esencial para mi trabajo en la red, creo que todos nosotros que hacemos vida en la Blockchain debemos contar con un buen equipo para poder gestionar mejor algunas cosas, no digo que no se pueda trabajar desde el teléfono celular, de hecho gracias a la cantidad de aplicaciones desarrolladas en Hive cada vez es más fácil y cómodo trabajar desde el celular, mas recientemente 3Speak.tv por ejemplo lanzó su App móvil para IOS y Android. Sin embargo, sigue siendo más cómodo gestionar algunas cosas desde la PC. 

El año pasado tenía planes de aportar valor a la comunidad con diferentes proyectos, materialicé algunas ideas pero lamentablemente en el mes de octubre 2022 la placa madre de mi PC se daño de una forma irreparable, ya venía de una situación difícil económicamente por un conjunto de cosas que estuvieron sucediendo, así que no pude comprar una nueva placa madre y me quedé sin equipo. Estuve trabajando desde el celular hasta donde podía, fue horrible para mí, admiro a los que pueden hacerlo en serio, pero yo no puedo pasar tanto rato trabajando en el celular, tampoco jugando, las manos se me entumecen y la vista me empieza a fallar. El asunto es que mi presencia en Hive disminuyó bastante, muchas de mis ideas y proyectos quedaron en pausa, me sentía frustrado y debía trabajar el triple para conseguir el mismo resultado o mucho menos. A pesar de todo esto, no desmayé y seguí enfocado en el objetivo, debo mencionar que en todo este proceso nunca mi gran Jefe eterno me abandonó, siempre había algo que compensaba alguna carencia económica.

En enero 2023 un buen amigo se acercó y me donó una computadora, él sabe de mi actividad dentro de Hive y lo importante que es esta Blockchain para mí y mis hijas, por eso me ayudó con el equipo. Mi amigo no esta en Hive pero de vez en cuando le hablo cuando muestra interés en lo que estoy haciendo, espero que un día pueda ser parte de todo esto. 

El equipo que me donó es antiguo, era parte de un antiguo cyber que fue cerrado durante el periodo de la mayor crisis en mi país. Sus especificaciones son las siguientes: Procesador Intel Pentium Dual Core, 2GB de memoria RAM y un disco duro de 350GB. Yo le coloqué otra memoria RAM de 2GB para llevarla a 4GB.

Despite all this, I did not give up and I remained focused on the goal, I must mention that throughout this process my great eternal Boss never abandoned me, there was always something that compensated for some economic deficiency.

In January 2023 a good friend approached me and donated a computer, he knows of my activity within Hive and how important this Blockchain is to me and my daughters, that's why he helped me with the equipment. My friend is not on Hive but from time to time I talk to him when he shows interest in what I am doing, I hope one day he can be part of all this.

The equipment he donated is old, it was part of an old cyber that was closed during the period of the worst crisis in my country. Its specifications are as follows: Intel Pentium Dual Core processor, 2GB of RAM memory and a 350GB hard drive. I put another 2GB RAM memory to take it to 4GB.

Por ser de bajo rendimiento le coloqué un sistema de bajos recursos que me permitía acceder al explorador Brave y otros programas sencillos, en la parte gráfica solo acepta juegos con un máximo de lanzamiento del año 2004, imagínense. Es muy lento pero me servía para trabajar en mis cosas dentro de Hive y hasta GTA San Andreas me permitía jugar. Con este pequeño equipo pude descansar del celular, mi actividad en la Blockchain mejoró, pude hacer algunas ideas realidad, así que este equipo antiguo me ayudó mucho. Sin embargo seguía estando muy limitado para lo que quiero lograr.

Recientemente estuve hablando con el líder del proyecto Aliento, Eddie Espino, y me comentó sobre el sistema de prestamos que muy pronto se estará implementando desde dicho proyecto, esto me parece súper genial porque aunque ya existen otros, este sistema ofrece ventajas en el modo de pago que verán una vez salga el anuncio oficial, así que me ofrecí como sujeto experimental y gracias a ello pude conseguir un crédito para poder comprar una nueva PC. Estuve buscando precios de equipos usados pero en buen estado, tipo refurbished y pude conseguir uno a buen precio. 

Obviamente necesitaba comprar el equipo completo para poder dejar el antiguo a mis hijas que también crean contenido en Hive, y de vez en cuando mientras usan la nueva PC para jugar en tiempos de ocio entonces yo poder usar la antigua PC para continuar con el trabajo, una especie de turnos para que todos podamos usar la nueva PC.

También compré un monitor de 19" marca BENQ usado, unos audífonos, unas cornetas sencillas para descansar las orejas de los audífonos, un mouse y teclado. Todo esto para tener un equipo completo y poder dejar el otro equipo operativo también. El precio total de todo esto fue de 305$ con envío gratis hasta mi casa. Creo que fue una buena compra.

Por supuesto que estoy muy contento con este nuevo equipo, ya le instalé Adobe Photoshop 2023 y anda excelente, aun no he probado juegos pero lo hare cuando tenga tiempo, espero que sea pronto. Tengo muchas programas pendientes por instalar pero el próximo será OBS Studio ya que pienso volver a crear contenido en video. También podré empezar mis estudios de informática y otros cursos que tengo en mente con respecto a un proyecto que estoy llevando a cabo con otros colegas de Hive.

Con este post quiero motivar a otros colegas Hivers a no desmayar y continuar haciendo las cosas de una buena manera, buscando la excelencia en cada creación, los resultados llegan en el momento exacto, el buen trabajo después de un tiempo empieza a dar buenos frutos. Para los que aún no están en Hive, pueden ver que además de ser una comunidad fuerte también se pueden materializar muchas cosas.
