# <center>Welcome 👁  Monochrome Lovers<br>and Architecture Fans</center>
<div class="text-justify"> This is the <em><strong>first part</strong></em> of a two part post about the <strong> Kaiser-Friedrich-Gedächtniskirche</strong> in Berlin, Germany that i discovered on one of my morningwalks. Don’t confuse this one with the iconic Kaiser <strong>Wilhelm</strong> Memorial Church ruins, one of Berlin's very famous landmarks.<div>

“The Kaiser-Friedrich-Gedächtniskirche (English: Emperor Frederick Memorial Church) is a German Protestant church owned and used by a congregation within the Evangelical Church of Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia. The church building is situated in Händelallee in Hansaviertel (a locality of Berlin's Mitte borough) near Großer Tiergarten. **Designed by architect Ludwig Lemmer, it was built in 1957**, replacing a former nineteenth-century building designed by Johannes Vollmer which was destroyed during World War II.” [Source](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaiser-Friedrich-Gedächtniskirche) </center>

<div class="text-justify"> In this first part I'll show you more bright views of this church and at the end of it you’ll find a few <em>specials</em> i’ve done with a <em>360degrees camera</em>. The <em><strong>second part</strong></em> will focus on much darker views, but all the pictures in both parts are totally #monomad for sure. I hope you enjoy them.</div>

<center> We’re approaching the church building through the <em>Tiergarten</em> with it’s gorgeous trees from the east. </center>

<center> Standing on the north side right in front of the main building we can enjoy the clean and mathematical straightness of the gridlines of the facade as well as the geometrical grid of the flooring in front of the building. Yes, there’s only one very small circular mosaic window on the whole facade of the church and it has a pretty unusual symmetry of 5. We’ll have a closer look at this in the second part.</center>

<center>When i passed by there again on another day, i had the opportunity to take a photo with an extra line in addition to the many that were already there.</center>

<center>Now we’re looking straight at the main entrance with pattern carvings on the left and right and some kind of a dragon slayer scene on the door in the center on which we'll take a closer look in the second part.</center>

<center> In this photo we see the main building in a more perspective angle and therefore we can glimpse a little at the western wall of the building. It’s a not very curvy block. </center>

<center> Here we're standing in front of the western wall with it’s four circular mosaic windows. Together with the one on the front that has about the same size amounts to five of them in total.</center>
