# **Hello Hive** Good evening everyone, how are you all doing I hope you all are doing great. Has for me I am doing good. I remain @mosesessien the only car interior upholstery and a civil engineer from Nigeria. Today I want to show you guys on how to renew a datch board of a sienna if it expires or spoil. In this post I will try to show steps by steps I follow with the help of photo to make it simple for any one to understand But before I begin let first of all look at the meaning of datch board **A dashboard (also called dash, instrument panel (IP), or fascia) is a control panel set within the central console of a vehicle Usually located directly ahead of the driver , it displays instrumentation and controls for the vehicle's operation.** **Here is the finished work**  **Here was it before**  **Reason for changing** Look at the picture the the datch board has some scratch on the body and it has expired also. So the owner took it to my shop to change it together with the color to black. **Let get started** I first of all call for car electrician to loose the datch board out for me from the car to work shop. Because the wires that are there are complex and any mistake is another thing, my responsibility is yours to change the leather on it .  After loosing it to my shop I now loose the speaker covers, the AC cover and everything that covers the front of the datch board to enable me have access to the edges of it .  I now use my hand and a small knife to remove the old leather on the board    After that I now use my sand paper to sand out the old material and the old gum out it make sure the surface is rough to enable the new gum to gum the material well to de board with falling    Here is the leather I am using  I now use my measurement tape to measure the length and the width of the board and then cut it out.    **Here is the gum I am using for the work**  I now place my material to the board making sure it cover the it well and the fold half to one side and them apply the gum to both the leather and the board and allowed it to dry  And them gym them together with my hand carefully making sure is smooth . Then do the same to the other side  Finally I tream the edges and all the opening and I have this  Finally I now fixed back the speaker cover and that of AC  My work is done. I now call on my electrician to fixed the board back . Wow such a need work. Thanks everyone for going through my post
