One of the guys working under me ran to me one early morning. I have known him to be struggling with his work as a teacher and as a youth pastor of a church. I am a pastor too, perhaps he sees me as more experienced or spiritually inclined than him. I listened with utmost attention as he spoke. 

Sir, my home is on fire. My wife is threatening brimstone and fire. She saw my chat with a game colleague and got infuriated. We couldn't sleep last night. She has threatened to shut down the church by reporting my unholy engagement with another woman. 

I stood there akimbo, as he spoke of what his wife will do or not do. 
It was like I had never heard such before. My disappointment is not that he fell so cheap in the hands of a strange woman, what is my disappointment is that this young minister is only newly married and his wife is so pretty. What is he still looking for in a strange woman? 

So, I asked him to tell me the truth and the woman he is inclined with. 

Julie is a new staff member. She is married too. And her marriage is less than three years. It was Martins that conducted the interview that brought her in as the new science teacher. 

Martins said that they had first started out as friends. They do things together and he visits her after work sometimes. Since her husband doesn't work close to town and returns late in the evening, they have a beautiful time together. 

After listening to him. It is obvious that he doesn't know the gravity of what he has done. Many people, especially married folks, do not know what it means to break their marriage vows. Stooping so low by entering another sexual relationship is detrimental and can only be termed unfaithfulness and infidelity. 
My advice is that he should steer clear of that relationship as quickly as possible. And he should appease his wife and promise never to get involved in extramarital affairs again. 

### The Lust of The Eyes
From time immemorial, it has been on record that people lust over one thing or the other. Most times, it is the very beautiful things in life including women. That has been the case since we have a lot of discrepancies in the area of whom to trust with our emotions and all that. 

### Misunderstanding Lustful Desires
 Many people, especially religious inclined ones do feel that lust is an attack from the spirit realm and as such, they face it with prayers and fasting. Here is the truth, lust is natural, what the individual needs is self-control and discipline and to tame his body and thoughts against what they react to.
The will to want to fulfil the desires of the mind is paramount in this case. Only a decisive intention can guide against such. 

### Obedience is Possible
Gracefully, if we obey the call to quit a lustful thought, the better it is for you. Obedience is the key that helps to overcome the adverse effects of lust. What is to be obeyed is not the lust but that which is right? 
On the contrary, most men feel that they are fired to lust after what is pleasing to the heart and eye. As much as it is uncommon to see a man lusting after his own sister, he should close his eyes and heart from any other woman other than his wife. 

### Acknowledge The Dreadfulness of Lust
There are reports of the dangers of lust which resulted in broken homes, marriages, careers and so on. Lust can lead to the collapse of a man's life if it is not curbed quickly. 
A lustful soul can fall for several things. Like I pointed out earlier, lust could come from different things. Money and sex are the most lust-after desires for humans. If a man is unable to guide against lust of any type, observing the dangers first, he may not live to tell a pleasant story.
