Everyone is a medical expert today as long as they have google in hand. But you may notice how many times information misleads you. Because we are not experts and how the internet works are enough to mislead us. The best option to get medical help is to consult a doctor. But we all know for many reasons we sometimes have to search for our own to know our condition better.

So, how can you save yourself from millions of misleading/not appropriate information? Well, I'm not an online expert but this is what helps me!

> Try to find an authentic website. There are hundreds of websites that provide accurate information, those are backed by professionals and have a good reputation. Try to search for such a website first.

> Always cross-check. Don't trust a single website or first-person article. Cross-check the information with two or three other webpages.

> Look for the reference, reviews, what others are saying about the site, and all the related resources. The interface of the site, the reference they use will tell you many things. Learn to observe them.

> Pay attention to the date. When you search for a thing, see the update date of the information. Medical science is updating every day, so should an authentic site should be. 

But after following all these I wouldn't say we don't need professional suggestions anymore. There are many online and mobile professional services available nowadays. It's better to take help from them if you have no other alternative. We should always prefer to take professional suggestions first and then do further research on websites. But we often do the wrong thing. Anyway, try to be more observant to find out the authenticity of a site and information.
