Maybe most of us know only that we could earn hive from writing posts or commenting to other users. It's on the front page if you're new in hive. It says like that but if you believe that. You got it right but not all of it. If you didn't know that there are users in hive not doing a post. They have bigger power but it's fine because they will be earning much compared to those not being recognised posts.

Let me give you an example to make it more understandable. Let's say my content or post only earned 1 hive. You can see it at the bottom of the post on the right side. After 7 days you will get your rewards. 1 hive power and since we are receiving HBD not hive. It will be lower compared to hive power. You will understand its value by searching google about it. Hive is different from its HBD (Hive Backed Dollars.) The expert can tell you why but let's skip with that and let us understand about mining in hive. 

If someone has bigger power for example 10, 000 hive power or more. By clicking that vote or downvote. You will understand how much power you can have, it depends on your power. By voting, you will have your rewards and at the same time, you will influence the content creator to keep on making a post. This is like a cycle, it's like a give and takes operation. This is not a selfish blockchain just so you know. If you will be selfish and refused on voting. You can't do mining and of course, you can't earn. Your power stays the same and it will not grow.

If you're in a blockchain, of course, you're thinking to earn more money. You can get more money by voting. The mining in hive is different from another cryptocurrency. A bit different action from those who have bigger power because they're through voting. But no blaming or no complaining. Everyone has a certain role in the blockchain. That reason enough is a blessing for those who want to earn but not paying an amount.
