### Heeeyho Readers! Recapping some things and wishing you a super sexy New Year.

**Coming in for a quickie *(no pun intended)***

Eight days. Five-hundred kilometers. Who would've thought this one-week cycling madness was possible after breaking the tibia in half nine months ago? I certainly believed. Soon after the accident, in March 21, I said to myself: "The recovery prize will be the Rapha 500 this year."

> *Every year since 2010, Rapha has laid down a festive riding challenge: to ride 500 kilometres between 24th - 31st December. The Festive 500 started in the South of England but in the eleven years since, it has grown to become a rite of passage for cyclists around the world.*

So, I'm sitting here, legs up, drinking a beer, and in complete self-appreciation for the completed objective.

The road is not always smooth, but smooth sailing don't make good sailors either. Sometimes we struggle. Who doesn't? We gotta stay vigilant, hopeful, and remember to keep on moving -- just like a bicycle.

Let's not think of what didn't happen in 2021, but rather focus on what can happen in 2022. *Cliché as fuck, I know*.

The next year is the year to build back. I'm gonna pump up the creativity and bring even more unique content to power up what I was forced to power down. I'm gonna sore my ass on the saddle (without crashing again) to explore new places. I also want to get a new laptop and a GoPro to bring back the cycling vlogs to this blog. I'll swim naked, love more, work harder on the ranch, and procrastinate less *{this is starting to get out of hand I better stop}*.

Anyways. I want to be brief and

If you are struggling, don't lose hope, shake that dust, move that buttie, slap yerself in tha face, grab a beer, hug whoever is around you and don't get wasted tonight because tomorrow we have to go cycling. **Happy 2022!**
