Life is universal. We live and meet with different people from time to time. This brings about a relationship like family, friends, etc. As much as we cannot be all alone, according to a saying “No man is an island to himself” we are bound to mix up with people. In that, there are possibilities to meet different behaviours which we might learn to adopt or discard.
Talking about influence, it has to do with things that affect our behaviour and life generally. It affects our lifestyle either positively or negatively. A positive influence as the word helps someone to do things right, to bring meaning respects and ability to make an impact in one’s life and others too.
For instance, if my way is positively guided like a career wise, people will learn from me and become impactful to others, bringing a positive change to my immediate environment and the world at large.
If I am a mentor, teaching people how to live a positive lifestyle. It will help to build the oncoming generation to know the right processes to take in life. This is a positive influence. As a leader in a community, if you are discipline, bring in good initiatives that will improve the wellbeing of your people, then their lives are positively changed.
Everyone wish to be better in life, and positive influence is one way this can be achieved. If I am a parent, I will wish my children to be hardworking in their academic work. Also, I’d want them to keep the company of good and brilliant peers in school. Why? Iron is said to sharpen iron. The company one keeps speaks much In one’s life, therefore for my children to be stable, I will want them to keep the company of friends that will challenge them to be more dedicated, intelligent and well behaved than those companies that will corrupt them.

The opposite of good is bad, so is influence. Negative influence is the opposite of positive influence. Negative influence is corruptible. It affects negatively and contracts attitude and behaviours into people and growing children.
This kind always emanates from people with bad upbringing, which causes menace in society. Some of these influences can lure children, teenagers, and adults to corrupt behaviours like stealing, lying, cultism, etc. It destroys generations and society.
Hence positive influence is welcomed and acceptable, negative is not acceptable, because the effects are to destroy and not to build. In a way of contribution, at home schools and generally, people are to be well guided on the kinds of friends they keep, things they should engage themselves in doing.
People are to note that it always pays to be good than bad, therefore good companies will help to promote positive influence both in individuals and in the society at large.
It is important to discipline ourselves to stick to right cause and as much as possible try to resist negative behaviours and things around us from affecting us.
If you run into the person who is not contributing positively to your life urgently stay away from such a relationship to avoid negative influence from dominating your way of life.
Always keep the company of a good personality and also impact good behaviour to the younger ones around you.
