Bitcoin is definitely going to have alot of recognition on the 2nd half of this year ending, in my opinion it will only be a matter of time when we will be able to do direct payment's with bitcoin in most Retail Stores. Once it gets rolled out in Russia it will only be a matter of time like weeks where it would be rolled out globally on all Burger King's.

I think this is very cool and will spawn other large companies to lend their trust in bitcoin. I would image some digital food menu with prices going up and down so the next person in line could get the same combo for a little cheaper or a little more than you paid!

This is perhaps the 6th time I've seen almost the same post about Bitcoin, Burger King and Russia (of course you might have missed all of those yourself).

So I'm going to paste an earlier comment I made about it ;)

Good news... but remarkable for it to happen in Russia. Anyway, Putin will come with his own crypto coin sooner rather than later and remove all other crypto's from Mother Russia's market.

Wow, that's pretty cool! I'm just wondering though; since Bitcoin's value is always changing (as are a lot of cryptocurrencies), how or what would they use to track and convert the current value of Bitcoin into Ruble equivalent to the cost of BK items. I have not used cryptocurrency to pay for any goods yet so I'm just really curious of the whole transaction, especially since I wouldn't want to accidentally pay more than the actual cost of the good just based on the timing of the purchase. Anyone have any insight?

It will most likely be a volatile price, so you pay whatever the equivalent bitcoin would be against the Ruble value of the meal. the bigger concern here is the transaction fees you pay on top of every bitcoin transaction and how they will validate a transaction has gone through as a bitcoin transaction can take anything from a few minutes to a few hours to process. They are either waiting that SegWit improves these speeds before they start accepting bitcoin or they going to make customers wait until they've received the money. lol
