Is it possible to date a guy without expecting gifts or cash from him even during special holidays like christmas?

<p>I understand you. But there is no way to measure the feeling of entitlement that might get a particular guy pissed. To me, a guy that do not offer gifts will always get pissed when the lady ever asks or expects gifts from him</p>

What's more, it may not be all the time, but there are times when I feel like I spend more time on one thing and neglect another. </p>\n<p>I'm a teacher so sometimes I take work for home like jobs and exams to correct. When I get home I try to do the normal things I always do, but when I see the papers on my desk, I can't stop working on them and the computer. The same happens with family moments, which require my presence, such as birthdays, vacations, special dates. For example, I try to stop what I'm doing at work if the family requires it, even if it's stupid, but then I feel remorse when I see the accumulated work and it indicates that I'm going to work overtime.</p>\n<p>I'm usually tired, trying to be thousands and do thousands of things, but I usually do it and it's worth it. Of course, many times I have said that I will ask for a clone for the new year, but in the middle of all this work I forget and December passes and I don't ask for anything. I would say that similar to what happens elsewhere on STEEM, Musing's user etiquette falls into the following list of strong preferences:

DOs

—Be original. Don't copy and paste answers from other sources, and don't copy someone else's questions. If you can't think of anything on your own, or have a hard time expressing it in English, maybe musing isn't the best fit for you right now. People will notice if questions are worded the same way, and a quick search on Google will reveal whether the answer came from somewhere else.

A way to avoid asking a question that has already been done is to type what you would like to ask into the "Search for a question" text box in the upper right hand corner of this page. If you find topics that are similar, find a different slant to take. As a matter of fact, this question has been asked before, just not word for word.

—Write questions that invite meaningful answers, personal opinions, and debate. The idea is to provide thought provoking topics for other users to use their critical thinking skills. The questions don't need to be controversial, but something that others will want to answer because they have strong feelings about them or experience with.

In addition, be genuine. It's okay to ask personal questions, even if they don't have broad appeal, as long as they are questions you want answers for. Musing is about helping each other, too.

—Answer the question. Stay on topic. Cover it. You shouldn't write just to write, but you should try to come at a question from all pertinent angles. In some cases, there are questions within a question, whether they are expressed or not. Sometimes answers need to be explained. Go ahead and do it.

—Spam or plagiarize. I've said be original already, but I think it bears repeating, especially since there has been plenty of it on Musing, and elsewhere. Just be honest.

—Try too hard. If you know an answer, go for it. If you don't, there's no need to fake it. Move on to something else.

—Expect tons of upvotes/engagement. This actually works for all of STEEM, but especially here. Musing's largest delegation was removed, so where it had been upvoting a lot of the questions and most of the answers here, that has not been the case for a while. Maybe Musing will start again. Maybe it won't. Asking or answering questions because you enjoy it will probably be the best way to use Musing regardless of whether or not rewards are involved.

Unfortunately, I don't think anyone outside of the founder of Musing and those who might work with him know why they've changed their upvoting activity. The rest of us have been left to wonder what they're doing. As a private dApp on the STEEM blockchain, it's not like they answer to any of us or owe us an explanation. Common courtesy to those who have pretty faithfully been using and promoting their platform would be nice, however.

The last few votes today were on posts by other dApps, sndbox, which has been helping to promote musing through a weekly contest, and steemhunt. My guess is, those four votes are meant to maximize curation rewards, along with whatever show of support to the other dApps they might wish to express, and other reasons they might have.

Prior to this change in upvoting, musing was receiving a substantial amount of SP through curation. That has all but stopped, so I'm left wondering what the plan is for revenue, since they are in need of regularly powering down (even with the larger delegation they had) in order to take care of whatever expenses they were able to with STEEM.

That's about all anyone not in the know can reasonably deduce. That and the real possibility that they have yet to set upon a clear course of action. Or if they have, they're not ready to communicate it yet, since as far as I can tell, there have been no follow up annoucements from jonching, the founder, with anyone in any public place on STEEM or on Discord. Any talking going on in private, I am not privy to.

I believe this question is a very good one, that really should be answered, and sooner the better, but when those who might have the information are silent, for whatever reasons, including not knowing exactly what they want to do yet, I'm afraid there's no way else to know. Hopefully, something will be forthcoming and soon.

As it is, unless musing has some other funding mechanism in the works, not upvoting on a regular basis is not helping their cause.
