Against.

Reason 1. First of all it's not true that one can't make real friends in online.
Reason 2. I've made some great friends through online that are more close to me than real life friend.
Reason 3. We can trust the person which we don't even know by making friends online.
Reason 4. Online friends can be more generous than real life friend.
Reason 5. Yeah sometimes peoples find some fraud friends but not all of them are bad, there might be some friends waiting in the online who can change your life.

So I'm extremely against in this topic.

Let us define the main terms for the purpose of this debate.
REAL means "actually existing as a thing or occurring in fact; not imagined or supposed". 
FRIEND means " a person with whom one has a bond of mutual affection, typically one exclusive of sexual or family relations". 

1) The bond of real friendship is built in trust but due to the occurances of our present day, we can not really trust someone we do not know. Thereby such a friendship can not be termed real.

2) Body language is a big aspect of real friends. Real friends should know each other in a way that they do not need the verbal language to communicate among themselves, they just need to look at each other and understand each other, friends online can not have that bond so such a friendship will always be shallow.

3) Not truly knowing what an online friend is going through, you constantly have to be careful with your choice of words to avoid misunderstandings. This is not a characteristic of true friends. You are to be free and be yourself with your real friend knowing that they accept you as you are.

4) Since you can not truly be sure of you you are talking to online, you can not feel so free as to tell much about yourself. This is another reason while online friends can not be real friends because real friends are those who know everything about you but still love you.

5) Online friends can disappear at anytime and you will have no one to ask about them or any other means to check up on them except they come back online. Imagine they fall seriously sick or even die, you will have no idea on how to contact them.

6) They are so many malicious individuals online nowadays that you can never be too sure of an online friends reason for befriending you. These suspicions can never let this friendship be real.

7) Friendship itself can only be real if it is based on trust and sharing, but with online friends you can never let your guards down. This sort of friendship can never be terned real.

8) Online has too many Maniacs that we can not feel free to meet online friends physically to try to make the friendship real since that may endanger our lives.

9) Real friends are to help each other in times of need but with the many Scammers online, you will never know if you are truly helping a friend or you are being scammed.

10) You are supposed to mutually help each other as real friends but an online friend can ask you to send an amount of money so they can buy and send you commodities cheaply from their community to aid your business but turn out to be a fraudster. This fear and uncertainty hinders real friendship since real friends trust each other.

11) Nothing on earth can replace face to face contact. A friend who can hug you when you are depressed or have a drink with you when you are celebrating is by far more valuable than someone you just talk to online. 

12) Real friends minds understand each other due to the experiences they have shared together. They go to school together, church together, shopping together, swimming together. . . they end up looking at life from the same angle. Online friends can not enjoy this complicity and therefore we can not call them our real friends. 

13) Real friends will be there for you no matter what but online friends have many online friends and thereby have divided attention. They are times that you are chatting with an online friend and you realise they are chatting with other people at the sane time.

14) Online friends have their own real life friends 
and real life and can only give you attention at their spare time. This is not a character of a real friend who should always make you their priority. 

15) Most people we meet online lie to us. They give fake names, fake faces, even what they do for a living is a lie. Some people photoshop to make their pictures look more beautiful so much so that you may not even recognise them if you meet face to face. Real friends are supposed to be themselves with each other.

These points are FOR the point that you can not make real friends online.

1. You can make a friend anywhere. Doesn't necessarily mean the relationship has to stay soley online.

2. Many people are 'friends' only because of proximity. Most of your colleagues, classmates and neighbors are not your friends yet people call them friends. Once you or they move, often you are no longer friends. The internet doesn't have proximity issues as anyone anywhere can be your friend and not just because of convienience.

3. You can filter your friends better by common interests online. You can also maintain a friendship easier. You can make friends online before you partake in a certain activity in a certain location, you can also choose who you associate with more carefully.

For
1.  A friend is someone you know a lot about in person and that also knows a lot about you and you can hardly know who someone truly is over a computer. 

2.  Most people's online image is a complete opposite of their real selves. So it's very difficult to tell who such person truly is.

3.  Most of the people you meet online have an ulterior motive and they're always looking for what they'll gain from you while real friends add to one another. 

4.  For some one to be your friend,  you have to know and accept their good and bad aspects. Such is not possible over the internet because everyone acts as a saint online. 

5.  Online friends can never be as dependable as real life friends because you can hardly see them or ask them for assistance in your times of need.

6.  An online friend will hardly give you undivided time and attention because they have so many people like you that they have to attend to online. 

7.  Most online friendship easily fade away because of lack of common interest 

8.  Most online friendships are one sided because online one person makes the contact most of the time. If "A" doesn't say "hi" first, "B" will never say "hi" because "B" cares less about "A".

9.  You can hardly tell what an online friend truly think of you because they will only tell you what you want to hear.

10.  Online friends can't be as real with you as your real life friends. They will only tell you what you want to hear. Etc.

You can meet people with common interests online and have some good chat and time with the once in a while but you can hardly call those people your real friends because you don't actually know much about them or who they truly are.

1- You can make friends online and eventually know them in real life.
2- A friend is not measured by if they know you in person or online but personally, things about you other than how you look, how your voice sounds like or any other things only real life friends can know.
3-You can choose if you keep being friends with someone online by just ignoring them, real life friends always demand more courtesy.
4-You can choose WHO you are friends with online, real life friends always seem to appear and it's difficult getting rid of them.
5-Real life friends sometimes only care about if you buy them beers, help them with real life stuff, like lend them your phone to make calls, lend them money, or in few words, making them favors and if you don't do them favors, you're a bad person. 
6-Online friendship is simplier, you and the other person just worry about enjoying the company of one another.

1.  It is very possible to meet people online, connect with them in real life and build great relationship with them.

2.  Some people open up easily to people they meet online because they are sure that they won't be judged than people they meet in real life and this help to create a deeper connection between such people that is not easily broken.

3.  Friendship is all about connection and mutual interest. The more you connect with someone you share same interest with online,  the more you want to know about them and the more likely the bond of friendship between both of you.

4.  Someone said online friends don't give support when needed.  Most of know that this isn't true. Someone you've been able to build a stronger connection with online will be able to support you when asked without hesitation. 

5.  anyone you can share your feelings with and support without  hesitation and will willingly do same for you without hesitation is a real friend and people like this have been met online by various individuals.

At first what is call a real friend? For me, real friend are the one who tell you when you make a mistake. Support you when your done, remind you when you forgot. Tell you the right path . And important are accepted you for who you are. And doesn't betrayed you.

And i m for with the statement **You can not make a real friends online**

1. Real friends is not easy as said. You knew each other for long time doesn't mean you can call it real friends. 
2. You can be friends with online but still have a barrier, and can't count to be real friends .
3. From online you can not see they are real character, or sometimes they real face. 
4. From online, use writing anybody can wrote a good content, can look so nice and understanding, but on real life we don't know. 
5. I have many friends from online some can easy to talk to, but some really easy to miscommunication. 
6. You can not find a real friends through online. If you find one, that's mean you're a lucky one. 
7. I prevented face to face to call them real friends. Just friends is okay for online. 
8. Online friends in one room chat they can be good to you , but and same times they can chat to another one and talk bad about you, who knew?
