My Journey to attend the Traditional Horse Racing festival in Takengon, Central Aceh, Indonesia

This is my first post in the pinmapple community. Well, in this post I want to tell you about my trip today to the place where the traditional horse racing festival is held in Central Aceh Regency, Aceh Province, Indonesia.

Central Aceh is one of the cities in the province of Aceh. It is located in the middle of other districts in Aceh Province. This area is also a mountainous area and there is a freshwater lake.

In addition, Central Aceh or commonly known as Takengon is a very popular tourist destination in our area. So, every weekend this area is very crowded with local and even foreign tourists.

Back again to the topic of my post today. This traditional horse racing festival is only held once a year. The bias will be held every Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.

Well, in this case I took some photos from the air using my DJI Mavic Air 2 Drone camera. As you can see a number of vehicles belonging to visitors are parked neatly and also the racetrack that I took from several different angles.

Apart from that I photographed events at the traditional racetrack. I also managed to find a number of horse owners bathing their horses after the race was over.

It was getting late, we had to go back to the inn that we had ordered in advance. Because tomorrow we will return to the location where the Traditional Horse Racing festival is held.
