Start of the Web 2 Hustle - A Return to Xitter

In the beginning I was doing the standard *Hive Marketing* thing of spamming my Hive links on Twitter as this was the standard rope thing we were told is how marketing works and gives more attention to Hive.

Quite quickly I learned that this is a quick way to get your account ghosted and it has more negative affects than positive for Hive and your account generally. SEO in google is quite sophisticated and they can tell when people are gaming the system quite easily. Despite this being a failing thing, it keeps getting repeated and funding year after year which is strange because most people don't want to read spam or life-less links posted on their socials. Maybe there is another reason these programmes are still running?

This made me pull back a little and just share fewer content like from Splinterlands and try to engage more genuinely and learn about the platform, how it is working and how others are using it successfully or badly.

I then went through a stage really that I didn't want to put myself out there or become an influencer type of account which would be where you would need to go if you really push these social media accounts, they are social after all.

I have also watched some of the guys on Hive try to grow their Xitter accounts and they shared their experiences here on Hive and some had some successes but it seems that it has been a lot of work and some have given up after a short little while, so it takes quite some work and determination to see it through... also you need to consider the rewards, how to get enough to make it pay as a good side hustle or not and if Elon decides to ghost you or remove your content for any reason.

Anyhow, after some deliberation, I will try to rebrand my Xitter account and see if I can have a go at growing it and try and have some fun at the same time. Hopefully not getting shadow-banned and stay in Elon's inner circle. I know if you share sometimes some of his rocket launches and say how amazing they are, you could crack into his circle-jerk and boost your account at the same time.

I will give some sporadic updates on my progress and see if I manage to reach my goal. At the moment my target would be to get around 150k followers and earnings in fiat of around $1k bi-weekly. Is it do-able? Lets see, I have a plan and will see how that works out.

First I will need to pay for the blue tick and build up enough impressions to monetise. That will be the first hurdle to break in the next 3 months. It will also give me some time to see if the *work* is worth it.

So far I have 2233 followers and am basically invisible to the algorythm and we will see if I can change this. The disadvantage of web2 is that I will become a slave to the whims of the alorythm and it will become my master that I would not be able to escape from. Luckily I can escape this sometimes by using web 3 in the form of Hive.

It's certainly a strange game there and how long it will also stay relevant is another thing. I know they have adverts on X, but as I use a blocker, I've never seen them so I'm not sure how they earn their revenue.
I will give my strategy a go and see if it gives any good results!

Good luck! I gave up on Twitter way back when in was still Twitter. If you can gain even some attention to Hive it's worthwhile, but most people there aren't all that interested from what I've seen.
