My Sunday Morning, A Cup of Milk Coffee and Traditional Food

After about a month of not exercising, this morning I returned to my routine on Sunday morning. I did jogging with my family in the Center Point Indonesia area. This area is always crowded with people to exercise or just take a walk in the morning with friends or family.

After jogging, I usually stop by for breakfast. This time we choose one of the favorite traditional coffee shop in Makassar City. This coffee shop is quite busy, especially on Sunday mornings like today as a place for breakfast. The name of the coffee shop is "Hai Hong". This traditional coffee shop provides various types of food. Starting from various types of cakes, various kinds of bread, drinks, and other main foods.

After seeing the variety of food and drinks available, I finally decided to choose coffee, milk and some traditional food. The milk coffee I chose was also not the usual milk coffee. But black coffee and a can of Beard Brand Milk. This is my first time trying this combination of coffee and canned milk. This coffee and milk mixture has a unique taste.

For my coffee drinking friends, I chose "songkolo" which is a traditional type of food made from glutinous rice plus grated coconut mixed with brown sugar, then served with fried anchovies and chili sauce. It tastes savory and delicious. Songkolo is one of the traditional foods that is quite popular in Makassar City.

Eating just one packet of songkolo feels less. I've chosen some traditional cakes to accompany me to finish a glass of milk coffee earlier.

Exercising with the family, then having breakfast outside with the family is always a fun routine to do on Sunday mornings
