DIY soylent
Over the past few months I have struggled with eating healthy without breaking the bank. I couldn't find a very easy way to do it. Finally I found out about soylent, but I did not want to pay that much for it. I read about diy soylent and decided to make my own. I purchased most of my ingredients through amazon the rest I sourced locally. The mixture if balanced correctly is very palatable. The mix of bananas, cacao, and cinnamon give it flavor. The rest is just straight nutrition. You can choose to crush the multi vitamin to mix it in or do like I do and just take it daily.
The key to its success is making batches that will last you a month at a time. I grab gallon ziploc bags and proceed to fill them with the weighed dry ingredients. I leave out the vitamin d/k, oil, bananas, and water until I am prepared to eat. This makes it easy to have it ready in a snap. One of the biggest downfalls of trying to have a healthy diet is the prep of fresh ingredients constantly. My soylent takes that problem away. I have configured it to fulfill one whole days worth of calories, but everything can be adjusted to whatever caloric intake you deem necessary. My recipe is as follows.

 4	g Sea Salt $0.01 Amazon
4	g Potassium Citrate $0.12 Amazon
1	g Choline Bitartrate $0.04 Amazon
1	pill Kirkland Signature Daily Multi $0.03 Costco
1	portion Thorne Research Vitamin D / K2 Liquid	$0.02 Amazon
200	g Oat Flour Honeyville Farms 50lb bag	$0.55 Amazon
50	ml Oil, soybean, salad or cooking $0.05 Costco
120	g Whey protein isolate $3.25 Amazon
14	g Organic Golden Flax $0.07 Costco
20	g Cacao Powder $0.39 Amazon
200	g Bananas, raw $0.20 Local
1	g	2	tsp	Spices, cinnamon, ground Costco

I use this to control calories. It is very nice to know exactly what you are putting in everyday. If you have questions please leave a comment.
