Though I had decided that this year I am not going to do any new investments in cryptos but then I am just thinking about this coin Algo. Algorand is the blockchain platform and Algo is the altcoin. Basically this platform is designed in similar terms of Visa or Mastercard, the major payment processors.  What I understand is that Algo is a direct competition to ETH, because it can also host other cryptocurrencies and blockchain-based initiatives just like Ethereum. 

Though it has a long way to go. Compared to the price of ETH the value is very less. While ETH is now at 1600+, Algo is just at .28, I guess which makes it lucrative to step in at this point of time. It may not reach to those levels of ETH but it can give some good returns a period of time. 

***The good features of Algorand are*** that it has a 2 tiered blockchain structure, which would ideally also make it secured. It is relatively a new coin but has a strong technology back up. It has many other features but since my technical knowledge on Crytpo is not very powerful I may not be able to articulate it very well. What I understand is that it has staking mechanism as well and it requires a very low staking in participating and securing the network.

For Algo, It would be good to give it a try. I need to decide it soon, before the price starts moving up. May be in a day or 2 I will take the decision.
