In the recent times there have been too many movies and documentaries. coming up on the stories of WW1 and WWII. I have been watching some of them. It is so sad to see such a huge devastation of human lives, millions killed in the name of freedom. But is it actually freedom. Millions are killed actually in the name of power. It is so easy for the powerful ones to dictate and pass commands. The ones who get on the forefront, their lives are destroyed forever. They may return physically fit but mentally they will never be the same way.

One of my friend last year got married to a guy who moved from U.S. permanently to India to settle down with her. He was employed with the armed forces of the United States. During his service he had several postings and he mentioned about one of his postings in Iraq, where he was in face with direct violence, bombing, shooting. And he tells me that even though if there is no bombing happening, they would feel like it's happening. It would kind of haunt them in their sleep also. They would hear sounds all the time. It is a horrific experience, and I can only imagine that. He worked for 5 years and then quit the job. It has been 10 years to that, but he is still on medication, and probably will have to take it for life long. The Government gives pension but is any money worth your well-being?

There is no value for human life, all that matters is power. In India also since decades there has been tensions at the border. So many army men as well as civilians have lost their lives in the name of saving one part of India and the other side wanting to claim one part of India. Is it really justified. The World war related movies when I watch them it gives me shivers as to what those young men must have gone through on those bloody battle fields. Would they have ever recovered from all that pain and trauma. When will this greed ever end. For centuries these wars have gone on and they have only brought in destruction at large.

Wanting to conquer each other's territory, wanting to boost and satisfy their ego, wanting to be in power, all of this comes at a very heavy price, taking lives of people, ruining families, making children homeless, ruining economies. And the pain that it brings to humanity, cannot even be measured in any way. Yet, they want it. These soldiers may not even want to fight, but in the name of duty towards their country they are pushed into the wars. Countries that are soaked in blood, will they ever be able to flourish. The Karma be it of a person or a place never leaves it. The Land becomes cursed with so much of blood shed on it.

By gaining power and territories if people think that they have won the war then it can be the biggest lie and delusion that they live in. No one ever wins in a war, all that happens is we lose and lose which can never ever be replaced or mended.
