Travel Diaries - Visiting the Mountain Village - Murren
This place stole my heart, I am so much in love with it after my first time visit to this small mountain village of Swiss. A friend of mine had suggested that I should visit Lauterbrunnen and Murren on my trip to Swiss. At first, I was not sure if I would since I had time crunch, but he had raved so much about this place that I had to squeeze in to my itinerary and glad that I did it, else I would have missed something very beautiful. If you see there is nothing so fancy about this place, it's a quaint little village with just some of the most breathtaking views. I could see the Jungfraujoch mountain from this side. I had visited Jungfraujoch some years back and it is a very commercial place full of tourist. There was no snow here but it gave views of all the Mountains around which were cladded with snow.

This particular day was a long day as we visited several places. From Interlaken OST we took a train to Lauterbrunnen. This is also a very beautiful place known for it's waterfalls, valleys and the lush alpine meadows. We did not have much time, so whatever we passed through while in the train journey was it. We got good views and that gave us some insight of the place. On reaching Lauterbrunnen we had to change to a cable care going up to Murren village.

They had bells tied to them and as they were moving around the bells were ringing. It was so soothing to the ears. I recorded the bells sound, and trust me it is actually very deep. I have started using it in my Meditation sometimes. I felt like this was my happy place. Nowadays whenever I am low, I close my eyes and recollect this whole experience and I somehow feel good.  Sometimes it happens, it may not be the best thing but it suits you and becomes your best, somewhat similar connection I felt with this place.

We reached Murren and then started walking down towards the village. It was evening time so everything was shut down except a a couple of cafes.

It was drizzling but still was comfortable walking and guess what, I had a rainbow sighting. I was so overjoyed. I felt like it had come up for me only since I was feeling so much in love and in connection with this place. It was like everything that was best was showing up in that moment.

Of all the days I spent in Swiss this was the best evening that I had. Such a blissful experience it was, my heart was in full joy and I still feel the same when I think of this place, it was very magical for me. I will surely visit this place once more to feel the magic.

I am glad you decided to squeeze out time to visit this amazing place because I wouldn't have seen the beauty of Lauterbrunnen and Murren.

The place looks quiet and calm, and the clean environment coupled with the beauty of nature surrounding the place is quite awesome. The Rainbow, it looks like you are seeing the end of it or I am wrong?
