Being a nobody and from that stage of life becoming successful then we do get a lot of appreciation from people around us but at the same time there will be some who will also criticize. Some people have this thought process that too much success in life means one has gone a little zig zag way, you know what I mean. But that's not always the case. Well, I too believe that when success is not in par with the efforts then surely there must be some zig zag way taken. It is inevitable that on the way to the top there will be all sorts of people coming your way, some will support, some will not, some will be nice to you and some will be mean to you.

It all depends on us where we want to put our energy. It depends on us how much of our ears we want to give to those who are not happy with our success.  We can very well choose to ignore them and that would be ideal. But if we start listening to them then we may soon be on our way down. Because with criticism negativity sets in and that fire that we hold within to strive on our upward journey starts to fade.

I would like to get critical feedback on my work but I would give a deaf ear to criticism. It's good to take feedback both negative and positive as that helps us to improve and also allows us to stay grounded. Constructive feedbacks help us grow.

There is a difference between constructive and destructive criticism. People can envy our success and criticize us to discourage us from moving upwards. These types of people have a past of their own, where they themselves have not been able to achieve their own success and hence they start envying other people's success.

When my Son does his research work and brings out facts on the table against the governments and big corporations, he receives a lot of appreciation as well as criticism also. No matter how much ever proof he provides there are some who just want to ignore and criticize his efforts. The only way to deal with these types of people is to ignore them and cut all chords with them. Because if you feel them even the slightest, they will suck away all your good energy and leave you drained out.

People who give constructive criticism are our well-wishers and they are always welcome. They play a huge role in our success and without them we will never be able to identify our areas of improvement. On the way up, one must be prepared for both, appreciation and criticism. Some people do it out of envy and some do it out of habit, in both cases, it is best to keep them at a distance.
