En el 2016 se estrenó un film con uno de los antagonistas que más me ha gustado, alguien lo sumamente loco, despiadado y cruel que había visto, pero no solo era eso sino también vinos una gran historia de terror una inesperada porque la primera parte de esta historia era algo más de un grupo de jóvenes que irrumpen en la casa equivocada, sin ninguna duda de que este film fue uno de los que me ha gustado por entregar algo que parecía nuevo con un gran villano y sabía que en algún momento pudiéramos tener una continuación sobre todo lo que es "El Hombre Ciego".

In 2016 a film was released with one of the antagonists that I liked the most, someone how extremely crazy, ruthless and cruel I had seen, but it was not only that but also wines a great horror story an unexpected one because the first part of this story was something more of a group of young people who break into the wrong house, without any doubt that this film was one that I have liked for delivering something that seemed new with a great villain and I knew that at some point we could have a continuation about everything that is "The Blind Man".

En **"Don't Breathe 2"** veremos el regreso de Norman Nordstrom conocido como "The Blind Man"; han pasado 8 años desde los acontecimientos de la historia anterior y en el tiempo actual vemos que Norman no vive solo, es el padre de una niña llamada Phoenix; está es una segunda oportunidad para alguien quien perdió todo, su vista, su hija y su estabilidad mental, pero esta nueva vida no es de toda tranquilidad porque el pasado volverá a interrumpir el tranquilo hogar de un peligroso hombre y eso solo significará muerte.

La primera película fue dirigida por el director Uruguayo _**Fede Álvarez**_ quien saltó a la fama al dirigir el remake de "Evil Dead" (2013); en esta oportunidad le deja la dirección a su compañero de muchos proyectos, _**Rodo Sayagues**_ hace su debut como director con esta secuela de una historia que ya conoce porque fue guionista y productor del anterior film estrenado 5 años atrás; en su debut creo que trata de mantener la visión que tuvo _**Álvarez**_ de esta zona de Detroit que parece olvidada por Dios, todo es deprimente, sucio y lleno de personas muy afectadas por su entorno, creo que el mostrar esto es muy importante para esta historia aunque la forma de mostrar está zona es más directa de lo que se vio en el anterior film al ser tomas muy muy cerradas, ahora, en las escenas importantes en dónde el suspenso y terror deberían ser referentes creo que es donde podemos ver qué es muy diferente a lo que se hizo en la primera parte, pero esto no quiere decir que no se pueda hacer de buena forma, para mí hay un fallo en eso en crear suspenso y solo queda hacer escenas gráficas para que cree un impacto en el espectador.

La historia es algo extraña, pensaba que sería una continuación directa de su predecesora y eso por lo vengativo y loco que es su personaje principal, pero que de una forma u otra veamos a un hombre recuperar lo que siempre ha querido era algo que pudiera apaciguar toda esa locura que lo caracteriza y ahora puede ser que lo haya transformado en un hombre posesivo y lleno de miedo, tal vez esto lo hace más vulnerable y a la vez peligroso, esto para mí es lo positivo del guion escrito por _**Álvarez**_ y _**Sayagues**_, lo que no me gustó es que no se haya escrito una historia de terror, sino una de acción, creo que esto es lo que más me decepcionó, ya que esperaba ver a un Norman más afectado por lo que vive actualmente y por lo que sucedió hace años atrás.

The first film was directed by Uruguayan director _**Fede Álvarez**_ who rose to fame by directing the remake of "Evil Dead" (2013); this time he leaves the direction to his partner of many projects, _**Rodo Sayagues**_ makes his directorial debut with this sequel to a story he already knows because he was screenwriter and producer of the previous film released 5 years ago; in his debut I think he tries to keep the vision that _**Álvarez**_ had of this area of Detroit that seems forgotten by God, everything is depressing, dirty and full of people very affected by their environment, I think that showing this is very important for this story although the way to show this area is more direct than what was seen in the previous film as they are very very closed shots, now, in the important scenes where the suspense and terror should be referents I think that is where we can see what is very different from what was done in the first part, but this does not mean that it can not be done in a good way, for me there is a failure in that in creating suspense and only remains to make graphic scenes to create an impact on the viewer.

The story is somewhat strange, I thought it would be a direct continuation of its predecessor and that because of how vengeful and crazy is its main character, but that in one way or another we see a man recover what he has always wanted was something that could appease all that madness that characterizes him and now may be that it has transformed him into a possessive man and full of fear, Maybe this makes him more vulnerable and at the same time dangerous, this for me is the positive of the script written by _**Álvarez**_ and _**Sayagues**_, what I didn't like is that they didn't write a horror story, but an action one, I think this is what disappointed me the most, since I expected to see a Norman more affected by what he is living now and by what happened years ago.

Una de las cosas positivas de este film es contar con _**Stephen Lang**_, hace un gran trabajo en esta segunda parte, su actuación es muy acordé a esta historia porque a pesar de no ser al principio tan dominante como es en su primera parte, nunca deja de ser peligroso a pesar de la desventaja que presenta; me gusta que muestre una interpretación diferente a la vista en el 2016 porque es un personaje diferente a pesar de que sigue siendo controlado por miedos y locura; "The Blind Man" es un gran personaje y no decepciona; el trabajo de la muy joven actriz _**Madelyn Grace**_ es bueno, representa muy bien una niña que ha aprendido a  sobrevivir, pero justamente eso no le impide querer experimentar lo que es ser niña, disfrutar de amistades, de estar con alguien de su edad, su trabajo está en mostrar dulzura, inocencia, pero también determinación, valentía y fuerza, ella junto a _**Lang**_ son lo mejor del film.

One of the positive things of this film is to have _**Stephen Lang**_, he does a great job in this second part, his performance is very according to this story because despite not being at first as dominant as he is in his first part, he never stops being dangerous despite the disadvantage he presents; I like that he shows a different interpretation than the one seen in 2016 because he is a different character even though he is still controlled by fears and madness; "The Blind Man" is a great character and does not disappoint; the work of the very young actress _**Madelyn Grace**_ is good, she represents very well a girl who has learned to survive, but precisely that does not prevent her from wanting to experience what it is to be a girl, to enjoy friendships, to be with someone her age, her work is in showing sweetness, innocence, but also determination, courage and strength, she together with _**Lang**_ are the best of the film.

Tenía buenas (no altas) expectativas por esta historia porque me gustó mucho su primera entrega y su personaje principal, quería ver más de lo mismo o tal vez algo mejor, pero parece que sus creadores quisieron mostrar otra faceta de este mismo personaje, pero creo que existe un fallo al crear una situación fácil para justificar el cambio que tiene este Norman; en lo personal cada vez más me gusta ver historias dónde no existe un claro héroe o "El Bueno", me gusta que en esta historia no exista eso, que al considerado bueno se le obligue a estar al nivel de todos los demás, que muestre un mundo miserable lleno de personas malas, eso me agrado de la primera parte y me gusta de esta, pero creo que se exagera en muchas cosas y eso hace que este film sea regular, que sea menor a lo que fue la anterior. **Don't Breathe 2** tiene tiempo en cartelera, no ha tenido el éxito que su antecesora, pero es un paso más para seguir contando la historia de su protagonista, espero que sí se piense en hacer otra más se regrese a las raíces y se haga un buen film de terror.

I had good (not high) expectations for this story because I really liked its first installment and its main character, I wanted to see more of the same or maybe something better, but it seems that its creators wanted to show another facet of this same character, but I think there is a flaw in creating an easy situation to justify the change that Norman has; personally I like more and more to see stories where there is no clear hero or "The Good", I like that in this story there is not that, that the considered good is forced to be at the level of all others, showing a miserable world full of bad people, I liked that in the first part and I like it in this one, but I think it is exaggerated in many things and that makes this film is regular, it is less than the previous one. **Don't Breathe 2** has been in theaters for a while, it has not been as successful as its predecessor, but it is one more step to continue telling the story of its protagonist, I hope that if they think about making another one, they return to the roots and make a good horror film.
