En muchas oportunidades la curiosidad de saber por qué un film es considero como malo, me ha hecho ver alguna que otra producción en dónde después de terminar me ha planteado varias preguntas como por ejemplo: "¿Cómo es posible que se haya gastado cierta cantidad de dinero para realizarla tan mala producción?" Y es que después de tantos años y de haber visto un gran número de películas, todavía me sorprende de ver producciones que cuentan con directores y actores reconocidos, pero que de igual manera todo es sumamente muy malo; en esta oportunidad haré reseña de un film que presenta estas características y que al ser un completo desastre en la taquilla norteamericana, al final me motivo a verla a pesar de las críticas negativas que recibió dicha producción.

**"Hypnotic"**, fue estrenado el pasado 12 de mayo, tuvo un costo de más de 60 millones de dólares y solo recaudó más de 5 millones de dólares; hubo personas que señalaron que la nula promoción del film fue lo que llevó a que no tuviera una mejor recaudación, pero antes de exponer sí esa es la verdadera excusa del porqué fue un fracaso en la taquilla, explicaré en una breve sinopsis de este film el cual narra la historia del detective "Danny Rourke" el cual ha perdido todo después del rapto y desaparición de su pequeña hija "Minnie"; tiempo después, al tener varias reuniones con su terapeuta, decide que es momento de regresar a su trabajo; justamente en ese momento una serie de extraños robos de bancos aparecen en varias ciudades y al momento de que Rourke trata de detener el robo, encuentra que de una manera extraña está relacionado con la desaparición de su hija, eso hará que se adentre en un caso en donde una organización secreta podrá estar detrás de inexplicables sucesos en dónde es el poder de la hipnosis la que desatará muchos problemas, estará en manos de Rourke y aliados en descubrir la verdad y saber qué sucedió con su hija.

Esta película es dirigida y co-escrita por _**Robert Rodríguez**_, del cual he visto varias películas, siendo sus cuatro primeras las que más me han gustado y que de sus actuales trabajos destacó a "Alita: Battle Angel"; en esta oportunidad no demuestra un buen trabajo, este es un film muy simple, pequeño y aunque en algunas tomas se pueden considerar como buenas, la realidad es que no es para nada bueno; las escenas de acción, en especial las de persecución, son malas, aburridas, nada de emoción y justamente eso hace que está film decaiga desde el principio.

Siempre he dicho que la originalidad en el cine actual es algo muy difícil de obtener y es por eso que personalmente soy defensor de la influencia de otras historias en una nueva producción, aunque también soy partidario de que si no hay originalidad, entonces solo espero que la historia tenga un desarrollo bien planeado; bueno, en este film no existe la originalidad y tampoco existe una buena historia; primeramente es una versión muy mala de lo que fue "Inception" de _**Christopher Nolan**_; segundo, los diálogos y diferentes sucesos son malos, no hay un tema que desarrollar, nada de profundidad y hasta puedo decir que es molesto la sobre explicación de varios elementos de la historia solamente para tratar de hacerla interesante; nuevamente repito el asunto de la originalidad e influencia de uno o varios films, pero esperaba que si existiera algo que desarrollara la historia, que la hiciera interesante, entretenida y la final es algo que no crea conexión con nada, ni nadie.

> I have always said that originality in today's cinema is something very difficult to obtain and that is why I personally am an advocate of the influence of other stories in a new production, although I am also an advocate that if there is no originality, then I just hope that the story has a well planned development; well, in this film there is no originality and there is no good story; first of all it is a very bad version of what was "Inception" by _**Christopher Nolan**_; secondly, the dialogues and different events are bad, there is no theme to develop, no depth and I can even say that it is annoying the over explanation of several elements of the story just to try to make it interesting; again I repeat the issue of originality and influence of one or several films, but I expected that if there was something to develop the story, to make it interesting, entertaining and the end is something that does not create connection with anything, or anyone.

Las actuaciones son sumamente malas; nadie hace un buen trabajo y creo que para el director, guionistas y los mismos actores, caer bajo los efectos de la hipnosis es convertirse en un robot o zombie; puedo detenerme aquí con respecto a este tema, pero me gustaría explorar en ciertas cosas como por ejemplo es el desempeño de _**Ben Affleck**_, estoy seguro de que cuando esté actor quiere hacer un buen trabajo, puede brindarnos una buena actuación, pero en esta oportunidad se ve consumido por todo lo malo que representa el guion y por eso vemos a alguien que no demuestra ninguna emoción, no hay expresiones que estén ligadas a los diálogos, no tiene necesidad de relatar por lo menos para que la crítica diga "Por lo menos _**Affleck**_, lo intentó", nada de eso existe; con respecto a los demás, solo diré que la química entre sus protagonistas no existe, todo es una competencia de quién actúa peor y solo puedo decir que es un triste empate y en dónde el único perdedor (me incluyo) es quien ve ese film.

Sin ninguna duda **Hypnotic**, es la segunda mala película que veo en este año y digo segunda porque la primera es "Quantumania"; de verdad que me molesta que un film sea tan poco original y que no desarrolle una buena historia y es que en mi opinión eso demuestra flojera al momento de escribir un guion y vuelvo con la pregunta al principio de la publicación "¿Cómo es posible que se haya gastado cierta cantidad de dinero para realizarla tan mala producción?" Y no consigo ninguna respuesta, aunque puedo decir que lo único sensato por parte de los productores, es no gastar más en promoción para que la perdida no sea más de lo que ya es. Si quieren ver una película en dónde la mente te puede llevar a ciertos lugares, tener diferentes vidas y que el final la necesidad de reunirte con tu familia y ser libre son el principal motivo de la historia, entonces vean "Inception" de _**Nolan**_ que es mi película favorita de este director; otro consejo, si quieren ver un film con influencia en películas de los 80', en dónde un hombre debe luchar contra una organización secreta que usa a otros como armas, entonces vean el clásico de los 80' "Scanners" dirigida por _**David Cronenberg**_ y mi último consejo es que no pierdan el tiempo como yo y ni se les ocurra ver "Hypnotic".
