For the past few days we've had some pretty strong winds, much of the day being very much overcast and grey. Typically around sunset things begin to clear a bit and throw out some nicer colours; assuming it would I went out again today in the wind in hopes of catching those sunset tones and getting the shadows of the trees across the open fields. Though as I walked around I noticed it wasn't really clearing, and the wind was really just throwing me around. I set up the drone and flew it around anyway, figuring I might get some cool shots of the location from high above. Something I don't usually do, especially in strong winds. But having walked so far, I still wanted to have a little bit of fun!

Much of the fields were muddy, soaked from the rain from before. The wind throwing itself at me and despite the many layers I had, it didn't make much difference, though I remembered this time to wear some better gloves which kept my hands from freezing over. The positive to that strong wind at least was a really clean air running through and over the hills. I never take the fresh, cold and clean air of the countryside for granted, not to forget the quiet peace that comes with open areas. With the potential of moving from this area soon, I am feeling a bit down regarding the positives I may be losing. The lack of people, the clean air and fields void of modern life's pollution. The near total lack of crime in the countryside being another major positive. 

Near this area are often wild deer, but there's also a small house that sits by a field that owns some goats. These goats are pretty adorable and come up to you to greet you and let you pet them. I stopped by them for a few moments to just relax and appreciate the surroundings a bit more. Rather than moving from one place to the next purely to try to take pictures, ultimately looking through a screen to see the beauty of what's around. I have been trying to avoid that a bit more.

I think I'll return to that area on a day where the sky is a bit more clear, hopefully catching nicer colours from above at around that height. Unfortunately the only times I have tried have been on days like this.
