When it comes to suspense, tension and something very difficult to watch, Catalan films (until then) were not to my liking, but this one... leaves nothing but the desire to scream until you can run out of breath, so it did the job. Also, researching I saw that it has something in common with my previous publication, likewise it is based on a book although unfortunately I don't remember neither the name of the copy nor the author (I only know that she is a woman). I am talking about the film La Por (<em>The Fear,</em> by its other titles) released in 2013.
>Cuando de suspenso, tensión y algo muy difícil de ver se trata, las películas catalanas (hasta ese entonces) no eran de mi agrado, pero esta… no deja más que ganas de gritar hasta poder quedarte sin aliento, así que logró su cometido. También, investigando vi que tiene algo en común con mi anterior publicación, del mismo modo está basada en un libro aunque lastimosamente no recuerdo ni el nombre del ejemplar ni el de la autora (solo sé que es mujer). Les hablo del film La Por (<em>The Fear, Miedo,</em> por sus otros títulos) estrenada en el año 2013.

The plot is simple but controversial and absolutely raw: violence, abuse and of course fear... fear in spurts, every moment of the shooting we can not help but feel that cold disquiet that petrifies. Mother and children fear the man who is supposed to take care of them and represent them as a family, but we also have the other side of the coin: dad is also afraid! Yes, the poor deranged guy (there's no other way to call him) is afraid that his family will abandon him and so <em>exerts authority</em>. Although the filming mostly revolves around the eldest son, the story of the rest of the family members is not left out, so all its development is cold and meticulously calculated, perhaps in the most cruel and brutal way possible; so much so that the scenes are equally cold and intriguing giving us an aura of uncertainty in every frame, everything is so unexpected and gloomy that to some extent it is uncomfortable to watch but we can't stop watching! And the ending?!!? My people, you literally don't breathe, I swear. I couldn't even watch it continuously for more than a few minutes, I had to pause, go out into the courtyard and take a long, deep breath to feel like I wasn't in the same room as one of the characters.
>El argumento es simple pero controversial y absolutamente crudo: violencia, maltrato y por supuesto miedo… miedo a borbotones, cada instante del rodaje no podemos dejar de sentir esa fría inquietud que petrifica. Madre e hijos temen al hombre que se supone que debe cuidarlos y representarlos como familia, pero también tenemos la otra cara de la moneda: ¡papá también tiene miedo! Si, el pobre desquiciado (no hay otra forma de llamarle) tiene miedo de que su familia lo abandone y por eso <em> ejerce autoridad</em>. Aunque el rodaje en su mayoría gira en torno al hijo mayor, no se dejan de lado la historia del resto de los integrantes de la familia, así que todo su desarrollo está fría y meticulosamente calculado, quizás de la forma más cruel y brutal posible; tanto es así que las escenas son igual de frías e intrigantes dándonos un aura de incertidumbre en cada fotograma, todo es tan inesperado y tétrico que hasta cierto punto resulta incómodo de ver ¡pero no podemos dejar de ver! ¿¡Y el final!? Mi gente, literalmente no respiras, lo juro. Incluso, no podía verla continuamente por más de algunos minutos, tenía que pausar, salir al patio y tomar un respiro largo y profundo para sentir que no estaba en la misma habitación que alguno de los personajes.

A film that has the luxury of making you understand everything, feel everything with just a glance or a gesture (we know that even though the film industry has certain <em>freedoms</em>, we can't see certain things through the regular paths). The acting of everyone throughout the film is outstanding and impeccable, you could almost think you're watching everything from a window, nothing overacted, with a naturalness that chills the bones and that... that has to be respected and admired (especially now that there are not so many good actors in this genre).
>Una película que se da el lujo de hacerte entender todo, sentirlo todo con tan solo una mirada o un gesto (sabemos que a pesar de que la industria del cine tiene ciertas <em>libertades</em>, no podemos ver ciertas cosas por los caminos regulares). La actuación de todos a lo largo del film es destacable e impecable, casi podrías pensar que todo lo estás viendo desde una ventana, nada sobreactuado, con una naturalidad que hiela los huesos y eso… eso hay que respetarlo y admirarlo (sobre todo ahora que no hay tantos buenos actores de este género).

You could say that I haven't told you much about this title, just some of the sensations that I can half describe and that you might feel if you dare to see it. I sincerely recommend it, with several pillows around to be able to scream and agüita to pass several knots in the throat, although if you have any other <em>anti stress</em> tool... <b>do not hesitate to use it</b>. So as I always say: <em>If you haven't seen it, see it and if you have seen it, see it again, you won't lose anything</em> (only your breath).😝
>Se podría decir que no les he dicho mucho de este título, solo algunas de las sensaciones que puedo medio describirles y que quizás las sientan si se animan a verla. Sinceramente la recomiendo, con varias almohadas alrededor para poder gritar y agüita para pasar varios nudos en la garganta, aunque si tienen alguna otra herramienta <em>anti estrés</em>… <b>no duden en usarla</b>. Así que como siempre les digo: <em>Si no la han visto, véanla y si ya la vieron, vuélvanla a ver, no tiene perdida de nada</em> (solo del aliento).😝
