<details><summary>La vida ligera o vivir con ligereza</summary><p>

(Sucedió ayer)

Esta podría no ser mi cafetera. Está toda manchada de café como, precisamente, no lo soporto o, mejor dicho, no lo soportaba… y ahora… se llenó de tizne por ponerla sobre una lata con unos trozos de carbón en su interior y una pieza de un ventilador que hace mucho tiempo deseché. 

En resumen, hice una hornilla de carbón improvisada cuando vi que faltaba la electricidad en la mañana y no tenía cómo colar café. 

Tengo un fogón de gas en casa, pero eso también se acabó y está escaso en el país así que toca esperar a que haya disponibilidad en el punto de venta del gas. Mi mensajero me avisará y yo iré corriendo para allá con el cilindro del gas montado en mi carrito de compras, pateando piedras, pensando en cómo me gustaría ver esta calle asfaltada y contenedores de basura en cada esquina, emocionada porque quizás pueda encontrar al pavo real posado en la mata de mamey y así podré saludarle en el lenguaje que sólo él y yo conocemos. 

Al pasar por la bodega veré a la nueva bodeguera (que no me conoce) allí bordando algún negocio lucrativo en su pensamiento… no duran mucho los bodegueros en las bodegas cubanas. Los reemplazan a cada cierto tiempo… Pagaré los doscientos y tantos pesos que cuesta el combustible para cocinar y me iré feliz a casa. Me gusta imaginar las cosas así, con detalles.  No se sabe cuándo va a suceder, pero si lo imagino con muchos detalles sucederá más temprano que tarde. No tienen que pasar meses o (no quiero decirlo) años para que llegue el gas al punto del gas, ¿verdad?  Vale… qué tontería. Este es uno de mis menores problemas.  Porque si nos quitan la corriente eléctrica no voy a privarme de desayunar o beber mi preciado café mañanero. 

Lo haré así mismo. 

Pues sí. Es mi cafetera… y en cuanto termine de escribir este post la voy a fregar bien y le quitaré todas las manchas que pueda, aunque deje mis dedos en esa misión. 

Después que acabó de colar el sabroso café herví un huevo. Y tosté un pan. Realmente estuvo delicioso el desayuno. Mi mundo es una delicia y solo quiero compartirlo con una persona así: deliciosa.

Mi abuela Mulata cocinaba con carbón y sus ollas y la cafetera relucían. ¿Qué me está pasando? Nada… apatía no es. Está limpia, solo que exhibe orgullosa sus manchas. Bueno… la acotejaré y se verá más bonita. ✨

Mira… vine aquí para contarte un poco más de lo que viví y pensé esta mañana.

<strong>El humo</strong>

Al principio era un poco ahogador, pero es que no coloqué la hornilla de carbón improvisada en el mejor lugar (para que el humo molestara a otros). Tenía que ponerla más lejos de la terraza donde me senté a escribir versos. Por suerte el humo no consiguió nublar mis pensamientos, la tos pasó rápido, y permaneció la idea fija que consecuentemente teje día y noche el pañuelo de la desolación, con pespuntes de esperanza… hay tantas bonitas maneras de adecuar las frases para decir que… bueno, corrección, son dos ideas fijas hoy, y cual de las dos más imposibles. 

¡Calma pueblo! Esta visión romántica del humo me trajo unos recuerdos asombrosos, recuerdos que olvidé, por supuesto, el humo caía despampanante sobre las flores de mariposas, allí donde también la luz entraba filtrada por entre los bejucos de la enredadera que odio - ¡es una plaga! y… ¿qué te puedo decir? Se veía hermosa también. 

Tuve que agarrar la cámara y dejar constancia de ello. 

Pensé que no es tan malo romantizar la aventura, el café en el bosque, el desayuno frugal… la frescura de la mañana… se vive con mayor ligereza. 

<strong><center>Y hablando de cosas ligeras…</center></strong>

Es una semilla voladora. Siempre me gusta mirarlas en su descenso, tan gráciles y simples que se ven. 

La escena me recordó lo difícil que a veces es ser uno mismo. Cierto que es liberador, pero uno de los peligros que se corre por este atrevimiento, el de ser genuino cuando la mayoría no lo consigue, siempre ha sido el de quedar atascado en ciertas redes invisibles o energías que no son nada buenas. 

Sin embargo, ¡mira esta tela de araña qué cautivadora es!

Está allí sobre las flores de las mariposas y la vi cuando ya no había humo que molestara a ningún ser viviente... la vi mientras disfrutaba de mi café y mi desayuno.

(It happened yesterday)

This might not be my coffee pot. It’s all stained with coffee, just the way I precisely can’t stand—or rather, couldn’t stand… and now… it’s covered in soot from placing it over a tin can with a few pieces of charcoal inside and a part of a fan I discarded long ago.  

In short, I made an improvised charcoal stove when I saw the electricity was out in the morning and had no way to brew coffee. I have a gas stove at home, but that too ran out, and gas is scarce in the country, so I have to wait until it’s available at the gas distribution point. My messenger will let me know, and I’ll rush over there with the gas cylinder mounted on my shopping cart, kicking stones, thinking about how much I’d love to see this street paved and garbage containers on every corner, excited because maybe I’ll spot the peacock perched on the mamey tree and get to greet him in the language only he and I understand.  

Passing by the store, I’ll see the new shopkeeper (who doesn’t know me) there, weaving some lucrative business in her thoughts… shopkeepers don’t last long in Cuban stores. They get replaced every so often… I’ll pay the two hundred and something pesos for the cooking fuel and head home happy. I like imagining things this way, with details. No one knows when it will happen, but if I picture it vividly, it will happen sooner rather than later. It doesn’t have to take months or (I don’t even want to say it) years for gas to arrive at the distribution spot, right?  

Alright… what nonsense. This is one of my lesser problems. Because if they take away the electricity, I won’t deprive myself of breakfast or my precious morning coffee. I’ll make it happen.

Well, yes. It *is* my coffee pot… 😏 and as soon as I finish writing this post, I’ll scrub it thoroughly and remove every stain I can, even if I wear my fingers out in the process.  

After brewing the delicious coffee, I boiled an egg. And toasted some bread. Breakfast was truly delightful. My world is a delight, and I only want to share it with someone just as delightful.  

My grandmother Mulata cooked with charcoal and firewood, and her pots and coffee pot gleamed. What’s happening to me? Nothing… it’s not apathy. It *is* clean, it just wears its stains proudly. Well… I’ll tidy it up, and it will look prettier. ✨

Look… I came here to tell you a bit more about what I lived and thought this morning.

At first, it was a bit suffocating, but that’s because I didn’t place the improvised charcoal stove in the best spot (to make sure the smoke bothered others). I should have set it farther from the terrace where I sat to write verses.  

Luckily, the smoke didn’t cloud my thoughts, the coughing passed quickly, and the fixed idea remained—the one that, day and night, relentlessly weaves the handkerchief of desolation, with stitches of hope… There are so many beautiful ways to shape phrases to say that… well, correction, today there are *two* fixed ideas, and both impossibly so. Hah…  

Calm down, people—this romantic vision of smoke brought back astonishing memories, memories I had forgotten, of course. The smoke fell dazzlingly over the butterfly flowers, right where the light also entered, filtered through the vines of the creeping plant I hate—*it’s a plague!* And yet… what can I say? It looked beautiful too.  😀

I had to grab the camera and capture it.  

I thought—romanticizing the adventure isn’t so bad. Coffee in the woods, a frugal breakfast… the freshness of the morning… life feels lighter that way.

This is a flying seed. I always love watching them descend, so graceful and seemingly simple.

The scene reminded me how difficult it sometimes is to be oneself. It’s true that it’s liberating, but one of the risks of such boldness—of being genuine when most cannot—is always the danger of getting caught in certain invisible webs or energies that are anything but good. Look at this spiderweb—how captivating it is, though!

It’s there, resting upon the butterfly flowers, and I saw it once the smoke no longer troubled any living being… I saw it while relishing my coffee and breakfast.
