# It's range daaaayyyy! 

Headed out with friends this week for some shooting and friend time. We'll be working pistols and rifles, then moving into some low light/night time goon shit.

Got my range box packed out with my new kit (still getting used to the new plate carrier) and my nods (night vision helmet rig). We're going full retard today, which means we'll be training pretty hard in full kit. We might even play with some comms. Small unit tactics shit.

We take range day pretty serious here. When we go. We have to fit a lot in, so it's usually a long day. Today we're only anticipating 7 hours, but we've had multiple overnight trips that went over 24 hours. 

Some folks might get spooked by this kind of thing, but this is a normal thing for us. Our culture here includes guns pretty deeply. It's our way, and we've always done this. I won't say it's who we are, because no single part of any culture is what defines them. But this is important, and the subversive genocide against our culture isn't one we take real lightly.

Safety is important of course, so we've all got first aid and CPR training and trauma equipment in our kit. Important things for the rare and unfortunate case where something goes wrong. Thank God I've never had to use any of it, and I always say a little prayer for relative safety. 

Today I'll be shooting up my reloads. They're just a plinking round with 50gr projectiles, not at all optimized for my gun. After those, an optimized load will be in the works. Hoping to have nearly a thousand rounds of brass casings after this trip. I've got about 650 as it sits right now, and powder to load about a hundred. Plenty of primers, and no projectiles, as I haven't decided on one yet. I've been cashing out my steem and hive earnings to fund some reloading components. Anyone have a good source on reloading components that has good prices and free shipping? 

This is opening up a bunch of things to post about as to gear and my personal load out. I think that'll be a thing. If you're interested in this kind of stuff, give me a follow.
