Best way to learn Web3 is by teaching to LeoFinance community

Before I start writing this post, I wanted to let everyone who is gonna read this post to acknowledge that I understand very little about Web3. So I'm trying to learn more about web3 and relate my research/imagination to Hive. My main intentions are learning, earning and making sure my long term Hive investment will pay off. I understand that building peer to peer relationships with our community members and creating networks of connections is extremely valuable.

We can read and write with Hive. And thanks to splinterlands, 3Speak, NFTshwroom and a few Hive based NFT projects like Hive punks and Hive folks for making our Hive be blockchain where anyone can own digital assets.

You can see the Hive logo in the web3 picture only with your magic eyes. What Bitcoin cash is to Bitcoin is what Steem is to Hive. Even though steem hostile takeover made us lose our brand and name, Hive is the new steem. And most crypto people are aware of the blockchain war that happened last March last year and knew Hive will take over steem.

Web 3.0 will democratize data. That means we will shift away from the current centralized computer to decentralized data structures with blockchain.

The next phase of the internet would be always on, always secure, always private. So looking at these pictures above, we can say our Hive network is always secure but we can't privately provide information to a group/community or receive private comments unless we send a message using memo key. This morning I was thinking the Memo key is probably the most valuable feature on Hive and it can be used to create an email dapp or private membership group like patreon.

Creator economy and ownership economy will be empowered by web3. I am happy to more and more people are entering the creator economy via Hive every day and higher hive prices will bring even more people and once hive network hit the critical mass we will see exponential growth.

More users, creating more value is a positive network effect. Slow growth is solid growth and solid growth leads to exponential growth.

While the Memo key could be useful, I don't see much use for it right now. After all people just talk threw things like Discord instead. In fact I think I have only used the memo key once during my entire time at HIVE right now.

Talking about web3.0 I think I mostly know very little as well except it redefines the essence of true ownership. There are other huge details that would eventually roll out with time I guess. Talking about ownership, it is great to see you're diving into Splinterlands, it's a good way to actually own things.

If I had invested my time with SteemMonsters instead of Dtube back in 2018/19, I would have been financially set for life. 

No regrets. I'm grateful for experiences and Digital ownership is something I need to explore more and renting out Splinterlands cards is a great way to start.

Even me too, I guess we really we're invested pretty much on dtube back in the days and had it been different with steemmonsters, we could have been retiring pretty early. But it's definitely part of the curve and we keep learning.

Learning by teaching is very effective. One of my teachers in elementary school always said that "if you can teach it, then you know it" and would make us teach what we learn to the class. I've always loved showing things to others and learning from it myself.

A big issue for now is the need to learn web3 at all. That is where we are still the early adopters. We are learning how it all works, seeing new projects being build and watching it happen in real time.

Web3 is going to happen but for the majority of people they wont even notice. It will happen one upgrade at a time over a number of years until they are suddenly trading tokens and using defi out of habit.

It's heating up the pan slowly so that they dont notice it happening at all. We are living on the cutting edge but a lot  of people will enter the first stages when reddit add tokens or they join a new game like splinterlands.

We are just the first in the door to everything while it is slow and clunky.

I can see definitely agree. But I have to improve my understanding and use my imagination to see the web3 world in the next 5-10 years time. So sharing my web3 learning will make me learn continuously and we can accumulate our knowledge.
