My name is Valentin, I lived in a town far away from the city, until I was 10 years old, but in all the time I lived there, I woke up with the richest aroma that could exist, the rich smell of coffee roasting. My parents had crops where the main product they planted was the coffee plant, they had many hectares of coffee plantations, they always taught me the value of work and at an early age I learned how to harvest it, then roast it and the best way to prepare it.

In order for me to have a good life, to study and as they say "to have a better future", they sent me to my uncles' house in the city, since our town was so poor that it did not have a school. The mornings there were very different, I was no longer awakened by the smell of roasted coffee, but by an alarm clock. I missed the sun of my land, the smell and above all my family and friends. But I knew I had to make them proud and so I concentrated on being the best in my studies.

Finally, the day of my graduation arrived, I was going to receive a degree in business administration, I sent the invitation to my parents to come, because of them I was there that day graduating. My dad is proud of me, he told me so. When I received my degree, we went out for lunch and my parents asked me what I was planning to do now that I received my degree. Immediately, I answered that I was going to go back home with them and start a great business with the best coffee in the world.

That was how we arrived back to our town, the day I returned I could not take the smile off my face, remembering my childhood among all those coffee plantations made me feel very happy, that was my home, my refuge when I was sad, my favorite place. When in the city I felt I couldn't go on any longer, just the thought of being surrounded by that rich aroma gave me back my peace. Now that I am back I will make many people feel at home just with the smell that emanates from a rich cup of our coffee.

Several weeks went by and thanks to some money that my father had saved we were able to buy a packaging machine and start marketing our coffee. The name we gave it was "mi dulce hogar", little by little people got to know its flavor and began to write to the email that we placed on the packaging for any suggestions, most of the comments were positive, every day our company grew a little more, it was my way of letting the world know that the best coffee was the one from my land, grown, roasted and ground by the sweet hand of my parents, my friends and my neighbors, we all became one big family.

People from the cities began to visit the town to walk among the enormous coffee plantations, tasting the rich coffee in its different presentations, coffee punch, coffee cake, iced coffee and of course the traditional black coffee. Everyone in the town was grateful, after not having many job opportunities or a source of income, they could finally breathe a sigh of relief since there was a lot of economic activity.

But something was still missing, it was a dream I had since I was a child and today I will see it fulfilled, in the center of town we are inaugurating today the first school, that way our children will not have to move away from their family to have a better future, so they would have the opportunity to grow up with the love of their parents and that sweet smell that makes them feel at home. Although I had the opportunity to have a great job in the city, the best decision I could make was to help this town, my home, to move forward thanks to our delicious coffee. Thanks to our coffee everyone knows what it is to feel at home, they know what it is to be in a sweet home.
