Hello friends. **This time it really is the last Top of this season,** and is that I overlooked the anime of the fantasy genre, which we do not have to confuse with the genre or demographic "*Isekai*", which is very different. In this top we will talk about anime of fantasy worlds full of magic, monsters, dragons, knights and adventurers. Among the most outstanding and popular of the past winter season this year, there is one of these fantasy anime that fascinates people so much.
**Let's remember that this Top will be ranked from 1 to 10, from the worst to the best by yours truly, which what you will read will be my personal opinion, nothing more.** This would be the fourth Top I made from the past Winter Season.

## Ishura
Let's start with a fantasy anime that didn't stand out much last season, which tells several stories in one. However, both its animation and visual effects are interesting to watch, as well as some of its characters. The work encompasses many elements, including heroes who come from other worlds, monsters turned into soldiers and warriors, swordsmen and very powerful wizards.
The story centers on a fantasy world where the reign of the Demon King ended when he was defeated by an unknown hero. In search of that hero, the kingdom of that world decides to hold a tournament where they will gather all the self-proclaimed warriors and heroes from all over the world to fight each other. However, other kingdoms seek to control the power of several of them and start a war.
One of the details of this anime is that it tries to show us a world full of powerful characters and beings of all kinds. However, the problem with this is the little time of protagonism that each one has, which limits the development of each character. Some of them attract a lot of attention while others have a potential that they still have a lot to exploit. The main story and plot lacks sense to meet so many characters and parallel and intertwined stories.

En busca de dicho héroe, el reino de aquel mundo decide realizar un torneo donde reunirán a todos los guerreros y héroes autoproclamados de todo el mundo para luchar entre sí. Sin embargo, otros reinos buscan controlar el poder de varios de ellos e inician una guerra.

> Uno de los detalles de este anime es que nos intenta mostrar un mundo repleto de personajes y seres poderosos de todo tipo. Sin embargo, el problema con esto es el poco tiempo de protagonismo que poseen cada uno, lo cual hace que limite mucho el desarrollo de cada personaje. Algunos llaman mucho la atención mientras que otros poseen un potencial que aún les falta mucho por explotar. La historia y trama principal carece de sentido al conocer a tantos personajes e historias paralelas y entrelazadas.

## The Unwanted Undead Adventurer
We continue with an anime very similar to most of its fantasy genre, with a story that is worth following and characters with a good development, although it lacks a very good animation, the one it has is acceptable to such an extent. However, the most striking detail is the way it tells the story and introduces us to the characters, as well as showing us a plot that is rarely seen in this genre because of its uniqueness.
The anime introduces us to an adventurer of a very low rank who, upon discovering a secret passage in a dungeon, encounters a very powerful dragon that ends his life. Or so it seems, but the truth is that he ends up becoming a living skeleton, a typical monster of the dungeon. He fights for several days against other monsters and manages to evolve into an undead, but still unable to speak properly. However, his strength and abilities improve a lot after his conversion and evolution.
As I already mentioned, you've probably seen a story similar to the one I just told you in other anime, but this one in particular has details that make it a bit different from the others. Such details as turning the main character into a monster that will then have to evolve into a human-like form again while finding the source of the curse. Also, the way in which it teaches us how dungeons work and how adventures are lived in that world.

[SPANISH VERSION] Seguimos con un anime muy similar al de la mayoría de su género de fantasía, con una historia que si vale la pena seguir y personajes con un buen desarrollo, aunque carece de una muy buena animación, la que tiene es aceptable hasta tal punto. Sin embargo, el detalle que más impacta es la forma en la que nos cuenta la historia y nos presenta a los personajes, amén de mostrarnos una trama que muy poco se ve en dicho género por lo singular que es.

> El anime nos presenta a un aventurero de un rango muy bajo que, al descubrir un pasadizo secreto en una mazmorra, se encuentra con un dragón muy poderoso que acaba con su vida. O eso pareciera, pero la verdad es que termina convirtiéndose en un esqueleto viviente, un monstruo típico de dicha mazmorra. Este lucha por varios días contra otros monstruos y logra evolucionar a un no-muerto, pero aún con la imposibilidad de hablar bien. Sin embargo, su fuerza y sus habilidades mejoran bastante luego de su conversión y evolución.

> Como ya mencioné, seguramente habrás visto una historia similar a la que te acabo de contar en otros animes, pero este en particular tiene detalles que la hacen un tanto diferente al de las demás. Dichos detalles como convertir al protagonista en un monstruo que luego tendrá que buscar evolucionar hasta conseguir una forma similar al de un ser humano de nuevo mientras encuentran la fuente de dicha maldición. También, la forma en la que nos enseña cómo funcionan las mazmorras y cómo se viven las aventuras en ese mundo.

## The Witch and the Beast
Let's continue with an anime a bit further from my medieval, but with a bit of magic and powerful beings. Wizards, witches, monsters, hunters and organizations that seek to maintain peace and order in a world where traditionalism and prejudice reign. The stories, the characters, the animation and the incredible scenes of this work make it one of the favorites of the season in its genre.
The story takes us into a world where witches are considered dangerous beings comparable to demons that deserve extinction. However, some of them fight for the safety and peace of society. A mysterious organization sends a peculiar pair of agents to solve some of the most dangerous cases of witches. One of them is a woman who is obsessed with hunting witches in search of breaking a curse, while the other accompanies her in order to prevent her from making an even greater disaster.
The perfect combination of magic, mystery and fantasy in one place, with very interesting characters and a plot that engages quite a bit. The theme of magic is well explained, as is the history of the witches and the different worlds that exist in this series. Each character we are introduced to has a peculiarity that makes you become very familiar with them. The anime itself contains perfect animation and visual and sound effects that fascinate, as well as unforgettable moments.

Las historias, los personajes, la animación y las increíbles escenas que posee dicha obra la convierten en una de las preferidas de la temporada en su género.

> La historia nos adentra a un mundo donde las brujas son consideradas seres peligrosos comparables a demonios que merecen la extinción. Sin embargo, algunos de estos luchan a favor de la seguridad y la paz de la sociedad. Una misteriosa organización manda a una peculiar pareja de agentes a resolver algunos de los casos más peligrosos de brujas. Uno de ellos es una mujer que está obsesionada con cazar brujas en busca de romper con una maldición, mientras que otro la acompaña para conseguir que no haga ningún desastre aún mayor.

> La perfecta combinación de magia, misterio y fantasía en un solo lugar, con personajes muy interesantes y una trama que engancha bastante. El tema de la magia está bien explicado, al igual que la historia de las brujas y los distintos mundos que existen en esta serie. Cada personaje que nos presentan tiene una peculiaridad que te hace familiarizarte muy bien. El anime en sí contiene una perfecta animación y efectos visuales y de sonido que fascinan, amén de momentos inolvidables.

## Sengoku Youko
An anime that was supposedly one of the most anticipated of the season due to the enormous fame of its original manga. An impeccable work in terms of characters, story and fights. An animation that leaves nothing to be desired and moments so impressive that they make your imagination fly. Undoubtedly, this anime series seems to have excellent bases to be one of the best of the year, as far as the fantasy genre is concerned.
The anime introduces us to a young traveler and swordsman who seeks to become the most powerful in the world. However, he comes across a village that is attacked by a monster (Katawara) and they are looking for someone to help them defeat it. Along the way they meet a rather peculiar couple of a blonde girl with fox ears and a long-haired boy with different colored eyes and a cane. While the girl seeks peace between the world of humans and katawara, her partner seeks to become one, at all costs.
An anime that is far from being forgotten with such an excellent combination of action, fantasy and drama in a single story that will take you to live unforgettable experiences. Starting from a simple plot but with enough potential to hook the viewer, this work presents us with an endless series of fantastic fights, absurdly powerful characters and power levels that are gradually insurmountable. The characters, on the other hand, have a very good development, which you can get to know quite well.

Sin duda alguna, esta serie animada parece tener excelentes bases para ser una de las mejores del año, en cuanto al género de la fantasía se refiere.

> El anime nos presenta a un joven viajero y espadachín que busca convertirse en el más poderoso del mundo. Sin embargo, este se topa con un pueblo que es atacado por un monstruo (Katawara) y buscan a alguien que los ayude a vencerlo. En el camino se encuentra con una pareja un poco peculiar de una chica rubia con orejas de zorro y un chico de cabello largo con ojos de distintos colores y un bastón. Mientras la chica busca la paz entre el mundo de los humanos y de los katawara, su compañero busca convertirse en uno, a toda costa.

> Un anime que está lejos de estar en el olvido con tan excelente combinación de acción, fantasía y drama en una sola historia que te llevará a vivir experiencias inolvidables. Partiendo de una trama simple pero con suficiente potencial para enganchar al espectador, esta obra nos presenta una serie sin fin de peleas fantásticas, personajes absurdamente poderosos y niveles de poder que son gradualmente insuperables. Los personajes, por otro lado, tienen un muy buen desarrollo, el cual te puedes familiarizar bastante bien.

## Dungeon Meshi
We end this Top with one of the best anime, both of the season and of this year. A work that is simply the perfect example of "*not what it appears to be*". Although it has a plot and animation that makes it seem to be a series for children, I personally recommend that you do not show it to anyone under the age of 18 because of its themes and deep story. If that wasn't enough, it contains a perfect blend of fantasy and comedy that makes it quite entertaining, to a level that is even absurd for how perfectly made it is.
In a medieval world where dungeons are indispensable to keep the peace and progress of society, a team of folk adventurers find themselves deep in a dungeon where they fight a great red dragon. While they are on the verge of starvation due to hunger, our leader and protagonist is saved along with the rest of his team thanks to his younger sister who sacrificed herself, being devoured by the dragon. He, along with some members of the team decide to return to the dungeon to try to save his sister, but with few food resources they will have no choice but to eat some of the monsters they encounter along the way.
That's right, a plot that appears to be a more comedy and fantasy anime where you only see adventurers hunting and cooking monsters of all kinds in a dangerous dungeon. However, the story goes far beyond that and tells us a sequence of events that are consequences of the decisions of our team of adventurers. Not to mention the excellent way of developing each of the characters we meet in this story. The animation, on the other hand, is majestic, with a level of detail in each episode that is quite fascinating. An anime worth watching, with an excellent mix of comedy, adventure, fantasy and drama.

>! [SPANISH VERSION] Finalizamos este Top con uno de los mejores animes, tanto de la temporada como de este año. Una obra que es simplemente el ejemplo perfecto de “no es lo que aparenta ser”. Si bien tiene una trama y animación que la hace parecer ser una serie para niños, personalmente les recomiendo que no se lo muestren a nadie menos de edad por los temas y la historia tan profunda que posee. Si no fuera esto suficiente, contiene una perfecta mezcla de fantasía y comedia que la hace bastante entretenida, a un nivel que es incluso absurdo para lo perfectamente hecha que está.

> En un mundo medieval donde las mazmorras son indispensables para mantener la paz y el progreso de la sociedad, un equipo de aventureros populares se encuentran en lo más profundo de una mazmorra donde luchan contra un gran dragón rojo. Mientras están al borde de la inanición por el hambre que tienen, nuestro líder y protagonista es salvado junto con el resto de su equipo gracias a su hermana menor quien se sacrificó, siendo devorada por el dragón. Él, junto con algunos miembros del equipo deciden volver a la mazmorra para intentar salvar a su hermana, pero con pocos recursos alimenticios no tendrán más alternativa que comer algunos de los monstruos que se topen en el camino.

> Así es, una trama que aparenta ser un anime más de comedia y fantasía donde solo se ve aventureros cazando y cocinando monstruos de todo tipo en una mazmorra peligrosa. Sin embargo, la historia va mucho más allá de eso y nos cuenta una secuencia de sucesos que son consecuencias de las decisiones de nuestro equipo de aventureros. Eso, sin mencionar la excelente forma de desarrollar a cada uno de los personajes que conocemos en esta historia. La animación, por otro lado, es majestuosa, con un nivel de detalle en cada episodio que fascina bastante. Un anime que sí vale la pena ver, con una excelente mezcla de comedia, aventura, fantasía y drama.
