For this reason we must try to remain calm even if it seems an impossible task, that is why I want to share my case although to be honest I was not so calm.

Por esta razón debemos intentar mantener la calma aunque nos parezca tarea imposible, es por esto que quiero compartir mi caso aunque para ser sincera no estuve tan calmada.

I immediately associated it with a urine infection, so I did the tests, but they came out negative, only high pH and abundant triple phosphate crystals appeared, which I thought were associated with his kidney condition, his pediatrician died of covid A couple of months ago, so I was seeing him with another doctor who, when she sent her the results, told me that Jonás could have worsened and if he went to the bathroom so many times and he urinated very little, his kidneys could be affected and not be developing well. . I must tell you that this news upset me a lot, my father died a little over a month ago and one of the reasons was that he couldn't urinate due to his kidneys.

Hace un par de días atrás note que Jonás se levantaba mucho para ir al baño al principio lo asocie al hecho de que está lloviendo mucho y el frio se siente desde tempranas horas de la tarde, sin contar que a el no le gusta que se apague el aire acondicionado del cuarto, luego me di cuenta que esto empezó a incrementar y como pasa el día en colegio y no puedo monitorearlo le pedí a la maestra que por favor me avisara que tanto iba al baño durante la mañana, su respuesta me preocupo mucho pues me dijo que lo había llevado 20 veces.

Inmediatamente lo asocie con una infección de orina por lo que le hice los exámenes, pero estos salieron negativos solo le aparecía el ph alto y los cristales triple fosfato abundantes, los cuales pensé que estaban asociados a su condición renal, su pediatra se murió de covid hace un par de meses por lo que lo estaba viendo con otra doctora la cual al enviarle los resultados me dijo que Jonás podía haber empeorado y si iba tantas veces al baño y era poco lo que orinaba sus riñones podían estar afectados y no estar desarrollandose bien. Debo decirles que esta notícia me altero mucho, mi padre murió hace un poco mas de un mes y una de las causas era que no podía orinar debido a los riñones.

His echo was very good, his tests had improved, only his calcium and uric acid conditions were out of range, although improving because his kidney condition requires constant treatment and is slow to correct, but until now we were doing well, he only had to adjust the doses of medications and continue with his diet, in addition to the fact that the grit that he presents can also be corrected if we continue as before, the diagnosis that he was losing calcium, phosphorus and uric acid in an accelerated manner was wrong and his kidneys are according to your age.

This for me was a great relief because to be honest I was just thinking if I am giving him all his medications and following the diet that he is going through because he got worse and in this radical way, I think it was a mistake that doctors who are not specialists in an area of the diagnosis and make such hasty judgments without really being sure because as parents we get anxious and desperate, in my case this time it cost me a lot to calm down and think with a cool head I just ran to do a number of tests that were not necessary and extremely expensive. I did not heed my sister's advice about waiting first to locate the specialist and let myself be carried away by my fear and anguish.

No lograba localizar a su nefrologo para que me diera un diagnóstico como tal, así que seguí las indicaciones de la pediatra le hice un eco renal, todos los exámenes de sangre y de orina de 24 horas, un urocultivo, incluso un exámen llamado gases venosos que no encontraba en ningún laboratorio, estaba sumamente preocupada y no encontraba a quien asistir cuando por fin su nefrologa me contesto, al explicarle lo sucedido me pidió calma y me cito con todos los exámenes que le había hecho.

Su eco estaba muy bien sus exámenes habían mejorado solo su condición de calcio y ácido úrico estaban fuera de los valores, aunque mejorando pues su condición renal requiere un tratamiento constante y es lento de corregir, pero hasta los momentos íbamos bien solo se debía ajustar la dosis de los medicamentos y seguir con su dieta además de que la arenilla que presenta también puede corregirse si seguimos como hasta ahora, el diagnóstico de que estaba perdiendo de manera acelerada el calcio, fósforo y ácido úrico era erróneo y sus riñones si están acorde a su edad.

Esto para mi fue un gran alivio pues para ser sincera solo pensaba si le estoy dando todos sus medicamentos y siguiendo la dieta que esta pasando porque empeoró y de esta manera tan Radical, creo que en un error que doctores que no son especialistas en un área del diagnóstico y hagan juicios tan apresurados sin realmente estar seguro pues como padres nos angustiamos y nos desesperamos, en mi caso en esta oportunidad me costo mucho tranquilizarme y pensar con cabeza fría solo corrí hacer una cantidad de exámenes que no eran necesarios y sumamente costosos. No hice caso a los consejos de mi hermana sobre esperar primero localizar a la especialista y me deje llevar por mi temor y angustia.
