Robot Era, a Chinese startup born within the prestigious Tsinghua University, has just presented the L7, a life-size humanoid robot that is redefining what is understood by speed, strength and mechanical intelligence. 
<p><br></p>
At 1.75 cm tall, the L7 has 55 degrees of freedom and a torque of 400 N meters, this means that it not only runs at an impressive 14 km/h with a stable upright posture, but it can also lift up to 20 kg with both arms, make 360º turns, manipulate screwdrivers and even pack orders.

Its creators claim that it is the result of a double breakthrough.
<p><br></p>
A unified architecture between body and brain, something that overcomes a technical barrier that doubles its complexity for every 10 cm of added height, in March 2025, the Star One robot had already attracted attention by beating another robot in an obstacle course, reaching 12.8 km/h on uneven terrain, now the L7 surpasses that and takes the lead as the world's fastest humanoid in stable operation with real work capacity.

The L7 was already designed with industrial environments and delicate day-to-day tasks in mind, such as carefully tearing off paper towels and working with tools on simulated production lines. This type of robot is no longer limited to laboratories or technology fairs. Robot Era wants to see it actually working in factories, logistics centers, even in services in our homes.
<p><br></p>
With the L7 and its M7 desktop version, which shares the same brain, but without the legs, the company offers modular solutions for different applications, from research to production environments. In addition, the new L7 perception system provides panoramic vision with depth sensors and real-time positioning, guaranteeing complete 360º spatial awareness and with interchangeable bacteria it can operate for long periods without interruption.
