Hi! I’m **Lyn**, a returning player in **Splinterlands**. I started playing way back in 2021 when play-to-earn games were booming. I quickly got addicted to Splinterlands because I’ve always enjoyed card games and the strategic depth they offer. The thrill of building a deck, countering opponents, and earning rewards kept me hooked.

However, around 2022, due to some personal reasons, I had to step away from the game. I made the difficult decision to sell all my assets—including my cards and my account. It was heartbreaking to part ways with Splinterlands because it wasn’t just a game to me—it was something I genuinely looked forward to each day.

Recently, while scrolling through **Twitter** (now X), I came across a post from **Bravetofu** about a referral program tailored for new and returning players. Curious and eager to make a comeback, I reached out to Bravetofu to ask for more information. He responded quickly, and the next day, I purchased a Spellbook and used **BRAVETOFU** as my referral account.

As soon as my Spellbook was activated, I bought nine Conclave Arcana Starter Packs, part of the latest set in the game. The card designs were impressive—sharper, more detailed, and packed with abilities I hadn’t seen before. I realized very quickly: *this was not the same Splinterlands I left in 2022.*

Back then, **Chaos Legion** was the most popular set, bots flooded low-level battles, and DEC was the primary reward for winning. Now, the ecosystem has matured. SPS staking is required to earn ranked battle rewards. Thankfully, Bravetofu’s referral program gave me a huge advantage—**150,000 SPS** delegated for 30 days and a permanent **50,000 SPS** afterward. This allowed me to focus on battles without needing to invest heavily upfront.

The gameplay has evolved significantly. There are now three Ranked Battle modes: **Modern**, **Wild**, and **Survival**. I primarily play in **Modern Format**, which has anti-bot features—making battles more competitive and fair. The energy system has been improved too, and the introduction of soulbound reward cards has added a new dimension to progression.




Right now, you can obtain **Rebellion** reward cards from the Glint Shop, which are powerful and well-designed. My favorite card so far is Olivia of the Brook, mainly because of her Mimic ability that copies other abilities. *She’s like the Kakashi of Splinterlands!*

As of today, my new account has reached **Diamond III Rank** in Modern Format, with 593 total battles and 323 wins. My longest win streak is 10, and my current rating is 2940. I’ve also joined the **Shadow Academy** guild, which has allowed me to participate in Brawls—something I had never experienced before.

One of my most memorable recent battles featured Eternal Tofu as my summoner. He’s like a Modern version of Mylor Crowling, but with extra abilities. I used Mantaroth as my tank and primary damage dealer, Venka the Vile for high output, along with Halaran Huntress, Conclave Tracker, Dread Taffarian, and Boring Hobgoblin. Thanks to Eternal Tofu’s Triage and Scavenger abilities, I won that battle.

Also, I discovered that Splinterlands now offers a **Campaign Mode**. In **Book 1: Waur Medge Academy**, players can earn free starter cards by completing chapters. This is perfect for new players or returnees like me looking to build a basic deck without spending immediately.

Thanks to Bravetofu’s support and the updated features, my return to Splinterlands has been exciting and rewarding. I’m happy to be back—and more motivated than ever to climb higher in the ranks!
