Greetings beloved ladies of hive community, it's my pleasure to participate in this week's contest in this beautiful community. I trust this post meets us well, alive and thriving to the glory of God. My name is @nemzy, a newbie writing first time in this community though I've been engaging on friends' post here but I've never participated in any contest due to time on my side.

1. What Are The Top Three Values That Guide Your Major Life Decisions And Which Value Do You Find The Most Challenging To Practice Consistently?

2. Looking Back Over Your Life, What Are The Moments That You're Proudest Of, Where You Stayed True To Your Core Beliefs.

By the grace of God I'll be sharing my candid thoughts on both topics to the best of my knowledge and experience.
Talking about Values, these are principles in life we hold so dearly to and they directly or indirectly shapen our life's journey here on earth.
Our personal values guide our everyday decisions, impacting even our relationships. We've values like Creativity, Accountability, Honesty, Responsibility, Inclusion, Courage, etc etc etc.

For me personally I hold dear three core values which I'll be sharing with us today and these values
have been my pivot in life navigation.

1. ADAPTABILITY: This is one's innert ability to be flexible and adjust easily to changing conditions and environments. I'm very open to change and able to adapt to any changing situations in life.

For instance relocating from Lagos State, Nigeria back to my home state Akwa Ibom after the demolition of our properties by land grabbers is an incidence that would have broken me down completely but her am I today still waxing stronger because of this value I hold so near and dear.

2. GRATITUDE: Being grateful in all circumstances is what has shaped my life in very great dimension, helping me navigate life very smoothly despite the huge challenges that comes my way almost on a daily basis. I cease not to thank God for everything whether good or bad and this really helps me a lot.

3. FORGIVENESS: Ability to let go and let God is a value I so hold very dear to. Needless allowing one's actions and offence eat me up from my inside, I rather forgive and move on with life knowing that offences are bound to come as far as I'm still relating with humans.

WHICH VALUE DO I FIND MOST CHALLENGING TO PRACTICE?

The 3rd value above forgivennes is not always that easy to come through with I must confess especially when the offence is coming from someone very close to you and keeps occuring from same person.
But seriously knowing that I gain nothing than otherwise harming myself if I hold grudge and refuse to let go, I become intentional about this value of forgiveness. And I must say it has really helped me to a very great extent.

CONCLUSION: It's pertinent to note that our core values helps our personal development, defining who we desire to become, keeps us focused and stay true to ourselves. Personal values also affects the way we speak and communicate with others.


PROMPT NO 2
Looking back over life, the moments that I'm proudest of is when our properties were demolished and we'd to relocate to my home state and begin life on a total fresh note. It wasn't a near pleasant experience at all but I stayed true to my core beliefs knowing that while there's life, there's hope as my Bible tells me in the book of Ecclesiastes.

I'll like to state here as my concluding thoughts to this post that there's a difference between beliefs and values. While the former are things we believe to be true about the world, the latter are principles important to us to live by.
Therefore in essence, a belief can be a core value but values are not necessarily core beliefs.
For example Courage is a value, not a belief  but Christianity can be both a value and a belief.
