Antofagasta is a city located at the coast of the Atacama desert (one of the most arid places on the planet). Almost nothing growths in this area unless is watered by the human being. For this reason the parks and gardens of the city are not very exuberant. The photos of the present post show a xerophilous garden, with cacti and related plants, located at this city of the north of Chile.

>Antofagasta es una ciudad que se encuentra en la costa del desierto de Atacama (uno de los más áridos del mundo), en esta zona no crece prácticamente ninguna vegetación, salvo que este irrigada por la mano del ser humano. Por esta razón los parques y jardines de la ciudad son un poco “escuálidos”, comparados con los de otras zonas. En la fotografías muestro un jardín xerófilo (de cactus y plantas relacionadas) ubicado en esta ciudad del norte de Chile.
