Viaje virtual a La Gran Sabana.
Saludos amigos, en este post quiero ser su guía turístico virtual y llevarlos a recorrer el sector oriental del Parque Nacional Canaima también conocido como La Gran Sabana, que es uno de los lugares turísticos más visitados de Venezuela, lo primero es tomar un vuelo desde su país de origen con destino al Aeropuerto de Maiquetía en la ciudad de Caracas y desde allí otro vuelo de aproximadamente una hora hasta el aeropuerto de Puerto Ordaz en el estado Bolívar.

Virtual trip to La Gran Sabana.
Greetings friends, in this post I want to be your virtual tour guide and take you to visit the eastern sector of Canaima National Park also known as La Gran Sabana, which is one of the most visited tourist places in Venezuela, the first thing is to take a flight from your country of origin to the Maiquetía Airport in the city of Caracas and from there another flight of approximately one hour to the Puerto Ordaz airport in the Bolívar state.

Ya en Puerto Ordaz toca tomar un carro o contratar alguno de los servidores turísticos que se dedican a hacer estos recorridos, (esto lo pueden hacer directamente en el aeropuerto) y partir por carretera hacia nuestro destino, en este caso particular en nuestro viaje virtual yo los voy a llevar en mi van. Salimos del Aeropuerto y nos dirigimos hacia la carretera troncal diez y vamos recorriendo las diferentes ciudades y pueblos que se encuentran de camino a la gran Sabana hasta llegar a un lugar que se conoce como La piedra de la virgen, que es donde oficialmente inicia el territorio del Parque Nacional Canaima en este sector, este lugar lleva ese nombre porque, si se fijan en la foto de la piedra arriba y a las izquierda hay una mancha blanca que según algunas personas tiene la forma de la virgen Maria.

We leave the airport and head towards the Troncal Ten road and we go through the different cities and towns that are on the way to the great Sabana until we reach a place known as La piedra de la virgen, which is where the territory of the Canaima National Park in this sector officially begins, this place bears that name because, if you look carefully at the photo of the stone above and to the left there is a white spot that according to some people has the shape of the Virgin Mary, and that's why they call it. the stone of the virgin.

Después de este punto ya entramos oficialmente a la Gran Sabana y hay una gran cantidad de atractivos, en este post voy a nombrar solo algunos ya que no me alcanzaría un solo post para nombrarlos a todos, después de avanzar unos kilómetros llegamos a los rápidos de Kamoiran, donde hay una estación de servicio y podemos recargar combustible y además tiene un campamento y un restaurante muy buenos.

Sigamos que hay mas lugares para ver, ahora vamos al Salto Kama que se encuentra más adelante, es un salto espectacular de aproximadamente 50 metros de altura, al cual se accede por la parte alta y se puede observar por un lado en un mirador como lo ven en la foto de la derecha y también se puede llegar hasta la parte baja como se ve en la foto de la izquierda, pero no es un lugar apto para usar como balneario porque hay muchas rocas resbalosas, si quieres nadar se puede hacer en la parte de arriba pero siempre alejados de la cascada para evitar accidentes.

Let's continue that there are more places to see, now we go to the Kama Falls that is further ahead, it is a spectacular waterfall of approximately 50 meters high, which is accessed from the top and can be seen from one side in a viewpoint as you can see in the photo on the right and you can also go to the lower part as seen in the photo on the left, but it is not a suitable place to to swing because there are many slippery rocks, If you want to swim you can do it at the top part of the river, but always away from the waterfall to avoid accidents, because it could be dangerous.

Sigamos que ahora viene un lugar espectacular llamado quebrada pacheco, un lugar muy popular, tiene un bar restaurant con excelente comida y un ambiente familiar, detrás de las instalaciones de este lugar pasa una quebrada donde podemos nadar un rato, pero como en todos los demás lugares de esta zona, el agua es muy fría, unos metros mas adelante bajando por el río se llega a una cascada muy bonita donde podemos bañarnos con el agua que cae.

Let's continue that now comes a spectacular place called Quebrada Pacheco, a very popular place, it has a bar restaurant with excellent food and a family atmosphere, behind the facilities of this place there passes a stream where we can go swimming for a while, but as in all other places in this area, the water is very cold, a few meters further down by the river we reach a very beautiful waterfall where we can bathe with the falling cool water.

Y ya para finalizar el recorrido por esta zona de la gran sabana vamos a visitar la Quebrada de Jaspe, para llegar hasta allí tenemos que dar una corta caminata pasando hasta que podamos ver esa bella cascada por donde cae esa agua fresca, pero cuidado que la piedra de Jaspe es muy resbalosa y es muy fácil caerse, es por eso que en la parte baja muchos se deslizan como en un tobogán, lo cual es muy divertido y también podemos bañarnos con el agua que viene cayendo.
La piedra de Jaspe es muy importante en la cultura de los indígenas Pemones que habitan en el Parque Nacional Canaima y la usan mucho para hacer artesanía.

And to finish the tour of this area of La Gran Sabana i will take you to visit a very especial place which name is Quebrada de Jaspe, to get there we have to take a short walk passing some hills an a little part of forest until we can see that beautiful waterfall where that fresh water falls, but be careful because the Jasper stone is very slippery and it is very easy to fall, that is why in the lower part many people use it like a slide, which is very fun and we can also bathe with the water that is falling.
Jasper stone is very important in the culture of the Pemon indigenous people who live in the Canaima National Park and they use it a lot to make handicrafts.

Ya en este punto estamos muy cerca de Santa Elena de Uairen que es la última ciudad de Venezuela antes de llegar a la frontera con Brasil y ya que que estamos tan cerca, vamos a dar una vuelta por allí para llegar hasta la frontera entre estos dos países.

Bueno amigos, ya al llegar aquí comenzamos el camino de vuelta, espero les haya gustado este viaje virtual.
El Parque Nacional Canaima tiene 3.000.000 de hectáreas (7.413.161,44 Acres) y aquí solo recorrimos unos pocos lugares que se encuentran al borde de la carretera, aún nos queda mucho por explorar, luego los llevaré a otros recorridos, estamos en contacto.
