When I'm at home I use a markdown editor called Stackedit. It has a number of nice features, but perhaps the most convenient one is the signature. Everytime I start a new post, it is prepopulated with basic information I want to share with every reader. 

(The signature can be found past the horizontal rule (or line) below.)

My signature also includes a default picture. If I do not need another illustration for the post I am making it becomes the post picture. Hopefully, it makes my posts stand out from the list as a familiar sight. I dunno if it works but it is my hope that when people see it in the stream, it's like seeing an old friend, and they click on my posts first.

Unfortunately, when I post from my phone I do not have that option. Perhaps I could find an app that might do such things for me, but it would be really nice if I could coax the developers to include a signature feature in Steemit.

While I am at it: It would be nice to share directly into Steemit from my phone. I have no idea how to make that happen but it's a relatively common feature of apps to social networks. So it's not impossible.

I know they are hard at work. I would just like to drop this idea in their ears, and perhaps get them on the agenda.
