En el tercer encuentro por el Campeonato mundial de Ajedrez llevado a cabo en Dubai volvemos a tener tablas, Nepo (retador) jugaba con blancas mientras que Magnus Carlsen (defensor) con negras. Al igual que en el primer duelo se planteó una apertura española yéndose por la variante del Ataque Morphy solo variaron algunas jugadas pero el resultado fue el mismo 1/2 1/2.

Hasta este punto se está  jugando lo mismo que en la primera partida Y Nepo es el primero en desviarse con otro concepto Anti-Marshall. De hecho, muestra lo seguro que es el Gambito Marshall, y el ruso busca evitarlo a toda costa.

La primera impresión es que las piezas blancas están mejor colocadas que las negras.El peón de 5 parece inestable, sin embargo, las negras son lo suficientemente sólidas . Pueden jugar  d5 o c6 seguido de d5 lo  que simplificará la posición. Realmente el campeón del mundo actual no se ha esforzado del todo esperemos que la cuarta partida Carlsen jugará con blancas esperemos ver que trae a ver si da una demostración de lo que un campeón puede hacer.
