Getting Old

It is funny how getting older sort of creeps up on you. I am having trouble both acknowledging it and accepting it. Still focused on pushing back and trying to holding back time. I have a few theories and ideals, that I hope might work and get me some more youthful time.

Don't get me wrong I have been doing alright for a long time but it is easy to get stuck in your old ways. For a long time I was burning the candle at both end, continuously pushing and fueling myself with carbs, coffee and sugar.
So the theory is to start living and eating clean. Train smarter and not harder. They recon I might even be able to be faster and stronger than when I was young if I can get it right.

I am not looking to set any world records but like to idea of being as active as possible for as long as possible. To able to keep up with my grand daughter and son as they work there way through the world.

It is not that complicated just progressive overload combined with enough recovery to allow my body to adapt to the changes. Recovery and adaption seems to take a lot longer now than in my younger years. Previously recovery and adaptation was unnoticed, over night or at worst a couple of days but now I really need to not get too excited in training or I will be achy for ages.

Progress is much slower than I would like but I do enjoy the process so it is also a good test of my patience.
