<div class=text-justify>Splinterlands recently introduced the ability to unlock Soulbound reward cards by burning DEC, sparking new strategies for players across the game’s ecosystem. While this has opened up some interesting possibilities, I’ve found myself in a bit of a dilemma. The amount of DEC required to unlock these cards is higher than I initially expected, especially since my primary goal was to place them on my land.<p>

What’s more, after running the numbers, it’s still cheaper to buy similar cards on the market for land instead of unlocking my Soulbound ones, which allows me to save DEC for staking on the land expansion. That leaves me in a tough spot because holding onto the extra cards now feels like a waste. It’s got me considering an alternative strategy—burning them for more Glint instead.

But before I make any hasty decisions, I’m considering offering these extra cards to the community. I know there are players out there who may still need to complete their Soulbound reward card collections. Offering my cards would not only help them but also make me feel better about not letting these assets sit unused. I’ve also been monitoring the market closely, and while there’s some potential for arbitrage—unlocking and selling cards—Splinterlands’ card economy has been a bit unpredictable in terms of sustaining value.

One idea I’m exploring is offering to unlock the cards for other players in exchange for DEC and a small fee. It seems like a win-win, but it would be great if a third party like @peakmonsters could provide a service for this type of transaction to streamline the process.

For now, I’m holding off on burning the cards for Glint and continuing to watch how the card market evolves. But it’s clear that with DEC being the central currency for unlocking Soulbound cards, the dynamics of the game’s economy are shifting, and I’m eager to see where things go.</div>
