<div class=text-justify>The speed of growth of the Splinterlands ecosystem continues to amaze me as the community continues to grow during these times of new launches. As I prepared for the next phase of the game, Chaos Legion, I reflected upon how to best position myself for the future. Given the entry of many new whales and Guilds, cards have become quite the commodity for players collecting and being competitive. I have always taken the competitive stance first but my time in the game has given me the benefit of having many cards in my collection.<p>
Since the relaunch of rentals from @Peakmonsters months ago, I have been renting most of my extra cards. However, given the amount of single BCX I have accumulated from my Rewards over time, I still had quite a bit of opportunities to consider. My thought for about year now given the PreSale of lands in 2020 was to preserve them for my lands. However, some of the development on that is still months away and I have heard some indications that it will not take too many cards to work the land. Also, higher level cards will be more productive.
Under these assumptions, I looked at purging my collection quite a bit to add to my rental collection to support my growth in the long term. I continue to look at evolving the collection into a business like others have done years ago already. After some research, I determined that it was best to combine my extra cards to the Silver League level so I can rent them. I was amazed to see I had over 300 BCX of some of the early Reward cards whereas only a handful of the newer ones. I was lucky to by some of the recent ones to maximize my own collection for sure!
After hours working through the collection, I was done with the purge. I surely have to provide a big thanks to @peakmonsters as their marketplace and tools provide an easy and quick way to go about with the combining of thousands of BCX and the subsequent renting of them. Time will tell if it was worth it and some don’t get much for rental but it is better than them doing nothing.
I hope that lands do not make me regret this decision but it definitely gets me thinking that I may not have enough cards still despite the massive collection I have achieved. It is very encouraging to reflect upon the way this game and community has evolved and the many strategies that have played out. The incredible fact is that all strategies except selling out have worked for all that started early! I doubt that the trend will end any time soon!</div>
