<div class=text-justify>Another key Milestone for the Splinterlands ecosystem has arrived as a new game is in development and the packs have now been listed for sale! It has been a challenging time at the moment as there have been many new assets being launch at the same time as we deal with a continued bear market. However, the developers continue to demonstrate how they continue to build the project no matter the state of markets as the community continues to support growth and engaging.<p>
In fact, engagement continues to rise as the game evolves all aspects around the ecosystem by providing more utility for the assets available. In addition, the recent reward changes have also started to shift the way community members are building Collections and compete in the game. We recently achieved more than 10k individual accounts participating in tournaments over a Season. This demonstrates the continued growth in the player base despite the challenges at hand.
The new game will be a Tower Defense game which will add not only utility but also diversity in the way we engage with the ecosystem. It will also be the first PvE component of the game although a different game style. I do not have much experience in these type of games but it seems like a good alternative for our assets. While details remain in development, we will be able to use a number of our existing assets in combination with new assets being sold now. The concepts being shared, like staking cards and progression being account bound, are truly interesting to consider given the years of little development in current gameplay.
The developers are also supporting the current tokens in the economy which was a great idea to ensure more utility is provided in these challenging markets and given the supply of some of them like DEC. It has been a while that I have had the need to buy DEC as I normally used the amounts earned to continue building my Collection; however, I had to go to the market and buy over 2 million to have enough for my initial purchase of 575 packs. Given it was below peg, it felt like it was a good deal when compare to moving new money.
Many community members have been hesitant given that there is no working demo. However, that is how the main game was built so I trust that development will come and provide updates along the way. While this may be an economic shift of the ecosystem as dynamics are still unknown, I have never doubted the utility of assets being sold from the development team. They also enticed us with a few presale bonuses that included some unique items like a Title and a Hero to be used. The access to the beta is also key reason why I bought in to these amounts as it seems like it will be another engaging experience in the ecosystem.</div>
