The start of a new year is always exciting as we never know what the year can bring. Given that it is always the start of a new decade has gotten me thinking longer term than usual. I have been working on my year end metrics and reports for many of my endeavors including Steem and despite the trends and challenge we see here daily, Steem continues to be my most encouraging project I dedicate time and resources to. I have been very surprised with some of the results despite the price of Steem over the last year. I believe it just represents the opportunity that continues to exist.<p>

I have made my Steem time a routine and while I have been engaging much less, I continue to look forward to my time in the ecosystem on a daily basis. I look forward to reading what some users have to say every day or even less often. The fact is that I enjoy my time here and I believe it has help me in my life and career as part of a maturing process to discover myself and what I want. That is value in itself but to add the fact that I am earning resources while I do this is incredible. The community remains in the center of it and to continue building it is important which is why engaging with new users is an important (and fun) task to do.

I hope this to be an evolving process to the benefit of the community so please continue providing feedback to support these and all the new users coming to the platform.  I am looking forward to more new users coming and engaging with the community to solidify the social aspect of the #STEEM blockchain.
