APP DEVELOPMENT COURSE: A FINISHING THAT COULD DEFINE MY YEAR

Hello everyone, it’s a pleasure again to participate in this week’s prompt. I am using this opportunity to also wish all Nigerians and everyone across the globe a happy new year, hoping that this year will be a better year for everyone. Also, I want to appreciate the efforts of the hive Naija admins and facilitators for always coming up with great ideas and interesting topics every week. Consequently, this has made the community unique and still striving till now. I pray that God will bless your works and crown your efforts with success.   
In line with one of the topics of this week’s prompt, I could not hold my peace as I was attracted to the second prompt which says:

>If there was one thing that could happen this year that would make this year your best year or a beautiful year for you, what could it be? Why is this important to you? 

Since last year I became submerged in thought about how to go about my tech journey, particularly in mobile app development. According to my arrangement, I was supposed to enrol for the training by last year but due to some circumstances beyond my control of which training fees were a part of it, I could not enrol, hence it became my number one New Year resolution that no matter the circumstances and challenges, I must ensure that I began my journey and also finish it. The thought of this alone has started giving me sleepless nights because looking at the prevailing situation on the ground. Also, considering the impact of the economy on the people the fear of taking up the course is becoming heightened by the day. It is always shameful and disappointing to begin a thing and stop on the way without finishing it. Be it as it may, I am so sure that this year will not end, I will enrol and also complete the training. 

My reason for choosing app development is borne out of the fact that I work in the education sector and I see the need to incorporate learning systems and strategies into an app from which students and other users can benefit. I wanted a situation whereby I could build an app for schools which would seamlessly transition them from an analogue model of setting and writing examination to a technologically driven model.
In my environment, very few schools have embraced these technological innovations. The computer-based examinations are still alien to most high school students hence they cannot compete favorably with their contemporaries from another clime. I want a situation whereby at the end of my training. I will render this service to most schools at the cheapest rate and also for free if need be. 

I have promised myself that whatever amount of money I make this year, will go into ensuring that I get the skill and also ensure that I execute my plans for the year with the said skill so that Looking back at this by the end of 2025 and having realized that all of these has been achieved, then will I know that my year is fulfilled.  So, help me God.
