### It's been 19 days since my last post. I can't even remember when i went that long without putting something together. I did release one edition of the daily LEO in that time but it was for LEO and not for myself. Even that was a struggle. https://images.hive.blog/DQme63hMPgUXXX83WFiT8h6a6xaG7pSeoqqgFpLmiSTKHCx/image.png I had put a lot of time into the leofinance campaign for the first couple of weeks and that took a lot of time and energy that i just didn't have to spare both creating content and trying to help out where i could. Some people are able to put in so many hours per day but with a job, two kids and a busy life it just took the energy out of me. If your not enjoying it then there is no point in killing yourself for it. You can burnout from doing too much and life has gotten very busy for me recently. Busy for good and for bad reasons. The good reason is that I got engaged last weekend and we were away for a few days to celebrate it. She didn't know that was the reason but it was all very well planned out. Until then we will make the most of it. On the negative side my dad was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year and he is going in for surgery on Friday. That has taken a toll in itself as we are all trying to do what we can to help out and make the process easier. Luckily it's early stages but cancer is never a good thing to hear for anybody. Both of these have been pulling me away from hive lately and when life gets on top of you then it's very hard to get restarted again. Too many other things to be distracted by and then when you do get to sit down finally in the evening there is nothing left to motivate you to do a bit more. I was very strong on consistency but have had less time than usual over the past month and tried to do more than i usually did. Turns out that it is a recipe for disaster and I ended up burnt out and not achieving anything for weeks. Today now I have finished up work a bit earlier than usual. I have a little energy left and decided that it's a good time to get back in the ring. I have lots of goals to achieve for the year and if i don't turn up then they won't just magically happen. I'm sure that the markets have an effect on my psychology as an added bonus. It's easy to keep going while your in the middle of the game but when you take a step back foe a little while and just hear negativity across the whole crypto sector then it really doesn't motivate you to jump back into the ring. hopefully this is a small step in the right direction and by getting some thoughts down on LEO, re-establishing my goals for the year and kickstarting my earnings again that I can get back to a consistent level of posting and activity on Hive yet again. > Small steps add up to big gains and this is the first of those little steps. Well man, lots of wisdom here, burn out is real and I'm not too far from it myself, work is busy, and life is busy and definitely difficult to keep it all going, especially when you throw in Hive. I made a commitment to try and post every day in 2023 and I'm still on track. If I can lock that in, I think I'll ease back to maybe two or three better quality posts per week and some weeks maybe none in 2024. It gets hard turning up every day and can take you away from more important things like family, friends etc too if you're not careful. Massive congrats on the engagement by the way, that's mighty news and very sorry to hear about your Dad... hopefully the surgery goes well π Oh and by the way, I never did that Leo thing for ya cause I gave up Discord about 2 years ago as it was distracting for my day job, and don't intend to log onto it again. I just do Hive and that's it, it can become a bit all consuming otherwise..
