<h1> New year, new me.</h1>
<br>

Not really. Same goals and same plan but different direction.

Last year I had set some strong goals and targets for the year ending 2021 and was happy to hit four out of five of those targets. The only one that i did miss was my hive power goal of 100k. 

That was always ambitious but the good news is that it's a fresh year and we can go again.

I finished off the year strongly

The biggest problem over the past year was trying to do too many things and chase too many targets at the same time.

This year is going to be different as I will be focusing mainly on my Hive, Leo and Splinterlands above all else. Hive is only growing stronger over time and it will be needed to power everything else that gets built on chain over the next few years. So that is where the focus is for this year.

We will be looking at the next hardfork in a couple of months with RC delegation and hopefully HAF finished and ready to go. That will be a big plus for the eco-system as it opens the door to  alot more apps and development. That means the need for more RC and hive becomes more in demand.

<h2>Goals for 2022</h2>
<br>

This year I will keep it simple and focus on the most important parts of the eco-system.

The parts that I can effect.
- Hive Power 100,000
- HBD 20,000
- Leo 100,000

This will bring me back to the basics of turning up every day and engaging with the community. Hive power is the most important part of this for me as it gives me a voice on the chain. I failed miserably last year in reaching the goal and this was mainly down to getting distracted by all of the other great stuff happening around Hive.

HIVE for future investment and HBD for safety and security in the long run. I am hoping to really bring this number up over the next few years so this is only step one of that goal.

<h3> Thoughts on January. </h3>
<br>

A good start to the year with HBD making a big gain and buying some LEO while the prices are low.

My HP did take a dip but I had the account on power down and couldn't resist buying extra chaos legion packs. That was the biggest distraction but that was just for this month. I couldn't resist but happy with my stack now.

Going forward its full steam ahead and my earnings were very solid for the month even with me being so busy at the moment.

I have managed to turn up every day and stay active but I could still be doing a lot more engagement and commenting across the eco-system. When my current job finishes later this month then i will get back to much better practices.

The plan is solid and the goal is achievable for this year. It was a bit of a reach last year but this year they are just challenging. 

I will be buying little bits of LEO and HBD along the way from other tokens and will still be stacking hard on some of the other ones that i like but the focus here will be on these three for 2022 and I will not be happy unless I can hit them all.

The challenge is good for me and will keep the motivation for the next twelve months.
