Guilds are an expensive hobby. If you want to keep upgrading the buildings it will cost a lot of DEC and if you want to compete with the big teams you need to keep rolling out the upgrades. We have a guild sitting in the top 50 at the moment and to get this far we have donated a combined total of 900,836 DEC or $2,950 at todays prices.

It's a fun and friendly guild but we do look for 500 DEC per month to keep growing as a team. That and a requirement to enter teams for your brawls are all we ask for if you want to join but I do only accept players with a solid deck of cards.

That's a lot of money to pump into a guild and we are still a long way from maxing out the buildings.

So the question is, what do you get in return?

Is it worth adding to the total of should you stay away?

500 DEC is $1.50 per month roughly and while that is nothing to a gold level player or higher to a bronze player that is a lot of funds that can be spend on upgrading the deck.

The two main benefits from joining a guild are the DEC bonus from your guild lodge and the gladius cards from competing in brawls which contribute to your CP and therefore your SPS airdrop.

<h3>My DEC bonus for last season.</h3>

Looking at my report card for last two seasons isn't that impressive but you can still see the numbers.


**Ranked Play Wins 154	
DEC Earned 4302**

**Ranked Play Wins 256	
DEC Earned 8053**

At the moment the guild are currently earning a 9% DEC bonus for battles which is 1,111 DEC. So for my guild even after making that 500 DEC contribution I would be making an extra 511 DEC from my battles for being a member of the guild.

That is doubling my investment and as you can see i was a lot quieter in the first season so this could have been a lot more.

<h3>Gladius Cards.</h3>

It's hard to put an exact value on Gladius cards to your deck as they are only good for two things. Winning brawls and adding CP to your collection.

Since they have been released i was lucky enough to start stacking a decent collection from playing with a strong guild.

Using an airdrop calculator it looks like these cards are earning me 1 SPS per day just from sitting in the account. Small but it all adds up over time.

Add in the SPS staking and then voucher drops and over all it's another win for playing in the guilds. There are different options for guilds to join but if you want to build up a solid gladius deck then you want to be in the top tier guilds winning lots of merits to speed up the process.

You can see that there is a lot of benefits to joining a guild if you are at a high enough level or if there is no cost to entry for the smaller players.

<h3>Try for yourself.</h3>
<br>

If you haven't played the game before then now is the best time to join. Today is much better than tomorrow and a lot better than later.

Cards worth a few cents now will have a much higher value in the future as the print runs out. We have a strong community and seen this happen every time as it grows with the game.
