I prefer Bitcoin over Gold when I am looking for growth. But to hold for a safe investment during hard time, Gold has upper hand. Gold is hard, liquid asset which has been there for years and years. Bitcoin and crypto are new currency and will take time to stabilize.

Spot on. There is definitely room for both Bitcoin and Gold. Both are great hedges against fiat inflation and inevitable crash. Holding both is a smart idea and has been a great time to add to your portfolio this year. 

While Gold has a long history behind it, do not under estimate human nature to innovate and desire for change from traditional systems and stores of value. It's not unreasonable to want a fair system with low fee's to transact.
