Rainy Day Activities

<center> This month we had quite a few rainy days - today is also one of them. I am someone who is highy affected by the weather and even though there are some exceptions, for the most part rainy/gloomy days result in low energy and sleepiness which then leads to laziness and not being productive at all. On the other side, with sunshine it feels like I get back to life, energy levels, productivity and motivation get higher and overall I just feel a lot better. Today for example, I feel pretty good, when the rain stopped I went outside to get some fresh air and I am also listening to uplifting music. Before I continue with this post, I'll go and make a cup of coffee... </center>

<h5> 1. Coloring pages </h5>

<p><div class="text-justify"> This is something I <i>really</i> enjoy doing. Long time ago I found a bunch of coloring pages on the internet and printed them out. I only printed out cartoon ones for my niece and she still sometimes asks me to give her a page or two. Right now I have only one left to I guess it's time to search for more. I also have some colorful pencils I am trying to use up so this activity is perfect to get that done. Doing this while playing music in the background on a rainy day is something I find extremely relaxing and satisfying especially when the coloring page is fully done. </div></p>

<h5> 2. Reading </h5>

<p><div class="text-justify"> While the library was closed, I wasn't able to get any books so I was "stuck" with two I picked up before quarantine. I don't read as much as I used to at the beginning of this year but I did start The Hobbit and read two PDF books which I never do. Reading on my laptop takes me a lot longer fore some reason and even though I am not a big fan of it, it still was nice to read some books I had on my reading list but my library doesn't have them. These PDF books were in English which is always a great way to practice language. </div></p>

<h5> 3. Watching something </h5>

<p><div class="text-justify"> I've only watched a couple of movies during the quarantine but I did watch some TV series, mainly the ones I already follow. Some of them are on the forced break, one just ended so I only have Killing Eve left. However, I did spent a lot of time on YouTube and TikTok - an app I hate myself the most for downloading lol. </div></p>

<h5> 4. Take time to make breakfast </h5> 

<p><div class="text-justify"> Lately I have been taking time to make something nice, warm and filling for breakfast. I am loving a lot of different veggies mixed with eggs. My go to breakfast during late spring/summer is a smoothie but veggies + eggs mix is very comforting on a rainy and a little bit colder day. </div></p>

<h5> 5. Trying something new </h5>

<p><div class="text-justify"> Now this is something I saw on TikTok and since I love coffee, I had to try it. My expectations were not high but all I can say is that I have been making my coffee this way even since I first tried it. Today I skipped this method and made myself a warm cup of coffee but I definitely think TikTok coffee, as I call it, is also going to be one of my go to's this summer. </div></p>

<h5> 6. Practicing languages </h5>

<p><div class="text-justify"> I am currently on a 31 day streak on Duolingo practicing Spanish (my goal is to reach 50 days). I have been on Duolingo for a little bit over a year but I definitely wasn't consistent. During quarantine, I thought it was the perfect time to put some work in languages and I started a lot of them on this app but I really was motivated to dedicate my time to Spanish. It just feels good to learn something every day, even if it's the smallest amount of information and this doesn't have to be related to languages.  </div></p>

<h5> 7. Sudoku </h5>

<p><div class="text-justify"> This is my new addiction! I found this free website where you can play Sudoku as much as you want, no registration needed. Again, this is something I like to do while listening to music and sometimes I get so carried away spending too much time on it, forgeting to take breaks from starting at the screen and these numbers. </div></p>
